Princess Amira couldn't stop herself from glaring at the Equestrian Prince as they stood on opposite sides of a large room in the Canterlot Museum of Art.
"Yeah, they just tried to steal the painting in broad daylight, and none of the guards did anything because they were busy protecting some VIP tour on the other side of the building," She watched the Prince recount a story about how he stopped a heist from taking place, her brother standing next to him and nodding in admiration.
Stupid Blueblood and his stupid heroics, making himself sound cool and stuff, it's not fair! He's not allowed to be cool! He's evil! An unrepentant monster! How dare he ignore her after what he's done!!!
GAH! She just wants to kiss- PUNCH! She wants to punch him in the face!
But there are too many ponies around, so this isn't a good time. She'll get her chance soon.
"Princess Amira, I see you're laughing. Did you find something funny?" Amira froze as she slowly turned to see Princess Celestia, the Alicorn princess smiling down on her.
"No, I just finally got the punchline to a joke I heard a while back and couldn't understand. I guess it just finally clicked for me." Princess Amira said, trying to hide her thoughts on the evil prince and his despicable acts.
"Is that so?" Princess Celestia asked, "May I hear it?"
Shit.
Shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit-
"No, I just... forgot it. Poof, gone from my head, haha~" Amira chuckled awkwardly. Hoping that Celestia bought her lie.
"If you say so," Celestia said with a smile.
Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes-
"How about you go talk with Blueblood while I take Prince Haakim off his shoulders, you two must have a lot to catch up on."
Nonononononononononononono-
"Sure, I'd be happy to talk with Prince Blueblood," Amira said with a simple smile.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-
It was too late, She was doomed.
"Blueblood, why don't you and Princess Amira go explore the rest of the museum for a bit? I have some words I want to give Prince Haakim," Celestia called to the two Pony Princes.
"Of course, Princess Celestia~" Blueblood told the Alicorn with a courteous bow, before he turned to look at Amira, giving her a tilt of the head as if asking, "Shall we go?"
Amira's mind was racing as she walked closer to the Prince, who turned away from her and started walking deeper into the museum, as if guiding her along.
"Wait a minute," Amira thought to herself, "This will give me time to be alone with Blueblood, I'll be able to figure something out! Payback will be mine! Hahahaha-"
"Are you laughing to yourself?" Blueblood turned to her with a raised eyebrow.
"What? No~" It seems Amira wasn't laughing in her mind as silently as she imagined, "Oh look, a UFO!" She quickly pointed at a random painting behind the Prince's head, hoping he would turn away from her so she could save face, even for but a moment.
Instead, he kept staring at her, his eyes giving her an unimpressed look, before he let out an audible sigh and turned to look at where she was pointing.
"I don't see a UFO. Here, inside this indoor gallery of an Art Museum." Prince Blueblood said blankly.
"It just flew by, you missed it," Amira told him.
Saved!
Amira quickly utilized the fact that the Prince was no longer looking at her to place her leg in the Prince's path, hoping to trip him just like she did outside the Museum.
Instead, when the Prince's leg found itself bumping into her own, Amira quickly found herself to be the one who was tripping over, only for the Prince to swiftly move his hooves and catch her body before she hit the ground, holding her in a bridal carry.
Stupid sexy Blueblood and his stupid strong legs and those stupid fast reflexes of his. GAH! She hates him so much!
She glared at the prince as he gently let her down, telling her to "Watch where you're walking, it seems the ground is slippery today."
GAH! Stupid Blueblood acting like he cares about her well-being, she knows better! She knows his true colors! His real self! And she will have this stupid sexy fit handsome... GAH! He's playing with her mind!!!!
Amira let out a growl of frustration as the rest of their Museum visit passed by in silence.
-------------------------------------
Starlight Glimmer has been keeping her eyes on Princess Amira for the past several hours now.
Not because she was in any danger, in fact, outside of her initial act of slapping the Prince, Amira has failed every other attempt to attack Prince Blueblood in any kind of way, No.
Starlight Glimmer was watching the princess because she wore her thoughts on her face; the poor mare could not keep a poker face to save her life, it was actually comical.
She watched the way her face twisted through a collage of emotions before returning to a frustrated glare, and not a frustration out of any sort of malice, but more of the kind a child has when he wants to steal from the cookie jar but the jar is on the highest shelf, so he'll need to move some chairs to create a staircase to reach the jar, but he can't do that because his parents are in the room so they'll notice him- Starlight Glimmer was not good with metaphors.
The point was that Starlight Glimmer was enjoying trying to decipher the thoughts of the mare before her. She could probably succeed easily if she put any effort into it, reading the truth behind Pony's emotions was something she used a lot in her short duration as Mayor of Our Town.
And wasn't that thought a kick to the gut? If somebody told Starlight a year ago that she would be acting as the bodyguard to her new best friend, who's also a Prince, living in Canterlot Castle, she would have laughed in their face before trying to take their Cutie Mark away.
Somebody... Now she's even starting to talk in her mind like Blueblood does.
---------------------------------------------
Prince Haakim let out a tired sigh as he dropped his body onto the guest bed he was given.
It had been close to ten hours since he and his group left the Castle, and they finally returned. The sun had set long ago, the moon was high in the sky, and the dinner they had brought only made the prince more tired. Not even the amazing show of flying animals that happened in that small town was enough to keep the prince from feeling as tired as he was.
Apparently, tomorrow there will be a big feast, but he wasn't rested enough to think about what food will be there.
A knock on his door forced Haakim to tiredly get his body to stand up, slowly lumber over to the door, and open it.
"I apologize for interrupting you, your highness-" Prince Haakim felt his heart stop the moment he saw the mare in front of him.
A pinkish-purple coat, a darker purple mane with strips of aquamarine, beautiful purple eyes that seemed to shine like glistening amethysts. She wore a black suit over a white button-up shirt, a pair of black sunglasses hanging from a pocket in front of her suit.
Her horn was glowing with an aura of aquamarine magic, a small box levitating beside her.
"I am so terribly sorry, I was spacing out, could you say all of that again?" Prince Haakim told the mare when he noticed she was looking at him expectantly, with him having been too awestruck to hear a word she said.
"Of course-" So polite "-Prince Blueblood prepared a gift for you, seeing as the gift exchange was canceled today, he sent me here to give this to you." She levitated the box beside her towards the Prince.
"It's a box of whiskey chocolates." She told him.
"You're perfect-" Haakim quickly corrected himself, "I mean, perfect gift! This is the gift not you- I mean the chocolates, not I- Not that you're not perfect as well, just that- I mean -I'll just take this now." He grabbed the box that levitated in front of him and quickly shut the door, his heart beating like he had just finished running a marathon.
After giving his heart a few moments to calm down, he opened the box of chocolates, took out one of the small cubes, and popped it into his mouth, feeling the whiskey inside pour out onto his tongue as the chocolate shell melted away.
"..." Prince Haakim stared at the now open box of chocolates beside him, "...I think I have a thing for mares in suits..." He let the words linger in his mind for a moment.
"...Fuck."
