A few minutes later, Xi Jiu returned to the study and saw Ruan Qi daydreaming with her chin propped up.
His handsome eyebrows slightly raised as he walked over to the sofa and sat down, reaching out to hold her small hand.
"What are you thinking about?"
The absent-minded Ruan Qi responded with a distracted 'Hmm?'.
Seeing this, Xi Jiu noticed something was off with the young girl.
He furrowed his brows slightly, turning his head to look at Abed sitting opposite.
Abed shrugged innocently, keeping silent about the conversation he just had with Ruan Qi.
Xi Jiu gave him a cold look, then turned back to the young girl, worryingly squeezing her small hand, "Baby?"
This time, Ruan Qi finally snapped out of it.
She quickly regained her composure, let out a small 'Ah,' and scratched her head, saying, "I was thinking about what to discuss with Mr. Alpharetta later."
