Chapter 129 - Chapter 129: Arrival of the White Empress

Deep within the dense forest, where the sounds of the wind blend with the twisted branches and fallen leaves, lies the entrance to a large cave surrounded by a light mist. The entrance, although it appears small at first among the ancient moss-covered trees, conceals an entirely different world behind it. As soon as you pass through the narrow entryway, you discover an enormous underground space, as if you've entered another world beneath the mountain's surface.

The interior is breathtaking, with the cave walls expanding massively to provide a space wide enough for an entire dragon. The walls are high and deep, winding along the vast expanse of the cave. The rocks along the walls are a dark gray, adorned with intricate natural carvings that twist like ancient symbols of great ancestors—or perhaps signs of creatures that once ruled this place in ages past.

The ceiling, rising several meters above, resembles a massive dome carved from dense rock, supported by colossal stone pillars scattered throughout the area. Some of these columns reach up to the cave's inner sky, their tops fading from sight, casting deep shadows that dance with the dim lights slipping through narrow cracks above.

At the center of the cave, there's a wide space large enough for a full-grown dragon to spread its wings and move freely. The glistening surface of water trickling down from the ceiling's cracks reflects immense beauty. The water collects in small pools here and there, forming invisible streams that flow through naturally carved stone paths, scattering as they go and creating little rivulets racing toward the cave's edges. In some areas, the water gathers into small, deep pools, revealing twisted and intricately carved rocks beneath.

The air here is slightly dry, tinged with the scent of sulfur and fire that blankets the area. There's a sense of mystery in every corner, where the soft sounds of flowing water and the gentle whispers of the air create a faint motion in the atmosphere, while the dim lights filtering through the cracks reveal glimpses of extraordinary beauty everywhere.

From the walls and ground, large moss and strange fungi grow, giving the place a bizarre and unique touch. In some shadowy corners, you can spot deep-rooted plants living peacefully in this underground haven, touched by magical light that graces their leaves. On the cave walls, rare mineral grains sparkle, casting a magical aura throughout the surroundings.

In the far corners of the cave, one might spot the remains of ancient bones—or perhaps traces of massive creatures—carrying the wisdom of ages long past. The echoes of the wind and the whispers captured by the dragon's senses only deepen the mystery, as though this place guards ancient secrets, revealed only to the worthy.

The other side of the cave expands even further, where the ground gradually transforms into a more open space, allowing a massive dragon to crawl and breathe freely. The distance between the walls almost disappears into the darkness, making it feel like this space has no end. The air grows colder here, and the farther you move from the entrance, the more isolated and mysterious the atmosphere becomes.

The sounds of flowing water draw you toward a deep pool, which may be a place of rest—or of secrets.

In this place, there were two people unexpectedly present.

One of them had golden hair that resembled flames burning under reflected sunlight, and blood-red eyes like those of a dragon. His clothes were clean and neat—something hard to come by given the almost nonexistent level of industrial development in this era.

As for the other, she was a beautiful woman with long sky-blue hair that reached her flexible lower back. Her proud chest bounced with each movement, and she wore clean, modern clothes—something the locals couldn't recognize. Her outfit consisted of a pair of long black stockings, a black blouse with sleeves reaching halfway down her arms, and tight black pants that highlighted her curves.

These two were none other than Akira and Velgrynd, two of the few True Dragons in this world, who had been living in this cave for the past few months.

Upon arriving in this era and evolving into a true dragon—especially as the Apocalypse Dragon—Akira expected to be hunted by every living being in the world. He even anticipated that Veldanava himself might try to eliminate him, fearing that he could destroy the world that had been so painstakingly created.

Yet, after many months living in this place, no one had disturbed his peaceful life with Velgrynd. The two lived in peace without any trouble—except that the food was incredibly bland.

Aside from that, the two lived lazily, spending most of their time sleeping, while Akira waited for his body and soul to complete their evolution. Due to the incomplete state of his transformation, his magical power was being absorbed by his body and soul to strengthen them. This created a strange cycle of constantly gaining and losing magic power, which caused his reserves to grow with every passing second.

"Did you feel that?" Akira asked, the laziness vanishing from his face as he stared at the sky beyond the cave entrance. He had sensed a tremendous magical force in the sky rapidly approaching them.

Although he couldn't use his magic power, that didn't mean he had become weak. In fact, his senses had grown sharper, making it impossible for him to miss such a terrifying presence in the sky.

"That's our elder sister, Velzard," Velgrynd said dully as she gazed toward the sky. After all, Velzard only visited for one reason—to deal with Veldora, who was causing problems outside.

I'm thinking of writing a new novel, so I'd like your opinion. Would you like a novel about Naruto as a main character with the ability to travel across worlds, or a novel about Tensura with the ability to travel across worlds? If you have any other suggestions, feel free to share them.
