Chapter 304 - Vali Lucifer!?

Chapter 304 - Vali Lucifer!?

Vali's demonic power erupted, a wild surge that sent papers flying and chairs skidding across the conference room.

The surge shattered the windows behind him, glass raining down.

With a smirk, he leaped out, light wings flaring as he shot into the night sky.

Hovering above Kuoh Academy, Vali raised a hand, his white armor gleaming under the moon. "Divide!" A ripple of energy pulsed from his palm, washing over the school below.

Inside the conference room, the walls seemed to close in, squeezing the space. Everyone felt the pressure, like the room was shrinking around them.

Sona's eyes widened. "That's the White Dragon Emperor's power?"

As a High-Class Devil, she'd heard the legends of the Two Heavenly Dragons, but seeing Vali's *Divine Dividing* in action was something else. During the Kokabiel mess, he'd barely shown off, but now? This was raw, terrifying strength.

The building had tanked magical bombardments without a scratch, yet Vali's casual move was tearing it apart. Scary didn't cover it.

Azazel nodded, a glint of pride in his eyes. "Yup. That's his signature trick—halving anything, power or objects, in a snap."

"He's getting too good with that Longinus," he added, scratching his chin. "If he keeps this up, he could wipe us out."

Toujou Koneko's ears twitched, her flat stare locking on Azazel. "You're way too chill about this."

Mahiro snorted, twirling Hyōrinmaru in his hand. "It's not a threat. Normally, his power would shrink us too, but we're fine. You think this old fox didn't plan for that?"

Xenovia blinked, confused. "Wait, but Azazel didn't know Vali was gonna betray him, right?"

Azazel chuckled, unfazed. "Ouch, calling me out, huh? But Mahiro's got it. As the Red Dragon Emperor, his Boosted Gear cancels out Vali's halving. With him here, we're safe."

Vali's voice boomed from the sky, his armored figure glaring down. "Red Dragon Emperor, let's see what you've got!"

The magicians and three-faction troops parted like the Red Sea, giving Vali a wide berth. His rep as the White Dragon Emperor was no joke. Back in the ancient war, the first Red and White Dragon Emperors—Ddraig and Albion—had crashed the battlefield, wiping out Angels, Devils, and Fallen Angels in their crossfire. Nobody wanted to get caught in that rerun.

Inside Vali's armor, the blue gem pulsed. "Be careful, Vali," Albion's voice warned. "That weapon in the Red Dragon Emperor's hands—it's got a soul-targeting edge. When it cut you, it hit my soul too. Bet it stung."

"Got it, Albion," Vali said, his tone cocky. He wasn't sweating it. Soul attacks? Devils were pros at that game, even after the soul-trading bans. It was in his blood, especially as a Lucifer descendant.

Albion's voice hardened. "This Red Dragon Emperor's different. Don't get cocky."

Albion had seen countless hosts, and Vali was his best yet—stronger than any White Dragon Emperor before. He'd been sure they'd crush this generation's Red Dragon Emperor… until Mahiro. That backstab was a first. No Red Dragon Emperor had ever fought so dirty.

"I'm not your average White Dragon Emperor either, Albion," Vali shot back, brimming with confidence.

Azazel grinned at Mahiro, his eyes glinting. "Your rival's calling you out. You gonna step up? This Vali's no joke—strongest White Dragon Emperor ever."

Michael raised an eyebrow. "That's high praise."

"If you knew who he was, you'd get it," Azazel said, his voice dropping.

"Who is he?" Sona asked, curiosity piqued. Rias and the others leaned in, sensing a bombshell.

Azazel's gaze flicked to Vali, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "He's not pure human."

"Zip it, Azazel," Vali snapped from the sky, his tone ice-cold.

"Then spill it yourself," Azazel said, shrugging.

Vali's voice cut through the night, sharp and proud. "My real name's Vali Lucifer."

The Devils in the room—Rias, Sona, Serafall, Sirzechs—froze, their faces paling. That name hit like a thunderbolt.

"Lucifer?!" Rias gasped. The original Maou's name wasn't just a title—it was a legacy of power and terror.

Outside, the magicians kept hammering the barrier, explosions lighting up the sky.
