"...What?" Ren asked, surprised by the sudden onslaught of words.
"You said you like me," Kade repeated, his hand cupping Ren's, which was halfway to pulling back. "So live with me."
Ren's brows furrowed. "Isn't that too early? This... does not sound right-"
"Nope."
Ren, "..."
A single reply forced Ren to halt his next words.
They had been together for less than a month, and now Kade was inviting him to live together.
According to all the dramas he had seen and the stories he had heard from Terim, Ren was sure about one thing.
This development was too fast!
His hesitation must have been obvious because Kade's expectation shifted into a frown.
"Or were you just coaxing me and then planning to leave me," Kade said, his eyes filled with both accusation and fear.
Then it hit Ren.
Kade had always been alone. He had been betrayed by his family and then by many of his colleagues. So, it was normal for Marshal to be a little paranoid.
Ren hesitated before nodding lightly.
