"Bleeding?"
The doctor immediately thought of pregnancy and turned to the nurse, saying, "Quick, prepare for an ultrasound check!"
When the ultrasound probe was pressed against Su Liuying's abdomen, the cold sensation made her a little more alert. She asked, "Doctor, why does my stomach hurt so much?"
As the doctor moved the probe, he casually asked her, "Are you married?"
"Uh… sort of, I guess!"
Her response was a bit odd, causing the doctor to glance at her briefly before returning his focus to the screen. About a minute later, he removed the probe and said to Su Liuying, "Congratulations, you're pregnant! However, the ultrasound indicates signs of a threatened miscarriage."
"Pregnant? Threatened miscarriage?"
Su Liuying was startled by the doctor's words. "Doctor, could this be a mistake? I just had my period a few days ago—how could I possibly be pregnant this quickly?"
