Around eleven o'clock, Qin Wanyang looked at the dumplings they'd made. It was more than enough for eight or nine people, so she said to Fu Yisheng, "No need to roll out more dumpling wrappers. You go stick the Spring Festival couplets. Once you're done, we'll cook the dumplings."
She had carefully asked Ning Anping about the process and remembered it very clearly.
The red paper couplets were written by everyone together, and the handwriting couldn't be more different.
The best calligraphy was Qin Wanyang's—elegant and bold. Next were Song Xiufeng, Ning Anping, and Fu Yisheng, whose writing was powerful and vigorous. Lu Qingqing's writing was passable, just slightly better than Fu Ying's.
