Chen Shanshan felt incredibly nervous, as if a rushing cold wind was wildly sweeping past her ears. The surrounding air suddenly became frigid and quiet.
Those few seconds felt as though they lasted several years.
"Treat me to dinner… it's fine, no need…" After a long pause, He Xiao finally spoke in a low voice, "But let's go for a walk together. I also have something I want to tell you."
"Huh?" Chen Shanshan froze for a moment, her gaze filled with confusion as she studied He Xiao's well-defined profile. The teacher had something to say to her, too?
What could it be? Could it be… that perhaps he has a slight fondness for her as well?
Chen Shanshan's mind began spinning with wild thoughts, and she couldn't help but feel a flicker of joy in her heart. She nodded with a smile and said to He Xiao, "Alright!"
"Then let's go." He Xiao turned around and began walking toward the long, tree-lined path leading through the school.
Chen Shanshan hurried to keep up.
