Nian Shen carried Heather directly down the steps and headed toward the car waiting for them.
Yi Yang got out of the car and opened the door.
Inside the car.
"Why is Miss Hai this drunk?" Yi Yang asked, glancing at the rearview mirror as he slowly drove off. "Is her alcohol tolerance that bad?"
However, not long after they had driven a short distance, Heather, who was slumped against Nian Shen, suddenly opened her eyes. She sat up, pressed a hand to her forehead, leaned against the seat, and griped, "When I said 'just a little,' did you really have to stop me exactly at that point?"
Good thing she had underestimated. Otherwise, situations like this usually made it hard to refuse all the toasts.
Yi Yang glanced at the rearview mirror and chuckled, "So Miss Hai was just pretending to be drunk, huh."
