Time passed, and before they realized it, five days had gone by since Leon and Elina arrived at the black sand beach.
They continued their journey carefully through the forest. At first, Leon had thought it wasn't very large—but he was wrong.
The forest stretched endlessly, and the trees grew taller the deeper they went.
Fortunately, they didn't have to travel too far. Leon eventually found a trail that led directly to the top of the cliff.
After a day or two, they finally reached the edge of the high cliff.
Of course, the journey hadn't been without trouble. Several monsters blocked their path—including two trolls, each far larger than the one that had once chased Elina.
Thankfully, none of them were too dangerous. Elina even managed to kill one of the trolls using her magic.
Now, Leon sat on a rock, while Elina stood near the edge of the cliff, gazing down.
The fog was gradually lifting, and she could finally see the black beach and the sea where they had first arrived.
