Last night…
"I'm heading back to my room," Leon said, glancing at the clock. It was already half past eleven.
He had intended to sleep but hadn't expected Aurora to call him to her room.
After all, they were a man and a woman. Staying together too long in the same room might seem improper—especially in the eyes of the other fairies.
Aurora simply nodded in response. "Alright."
But just as Leon was about to turn around, her brows knit slightly, as if something had just come to mind.
"Wait, Leon. There's something I need to say—and I hope you'll accept it," she said, her voice suddenly serious.
Leon raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it, Aurora?"
Aurora didn't respond right away. Her beautiful face flushed slightly, though she tried to hide it behind a calm expression.
After a steadying breath, she met his eyes and spoke firmly, "I want to form a contract with you."
Leon froze, visibly surprised. His brows furrowed as he asked, "A contract? What do you mean?"
