This fortress is the throat of the northern border of the Empire, with snow-capped mountains on both sides that never melt throughout the year. The cliffs are steep, making it impossible to climb except by flight.
The harsh climate of the Extreme North leads to resource scarcity, and the people living here can only survive by hunting. The customs passed down from generation to generation have resulted in a fierce populace where both men and women can be soldiers.
The Extreme North originally belonged to the Empire, but the Empire's high taxes led to its breaking away from the Empire's control.
The Extreme North populace, struggling on the brink of starvation, could not possibly bear such taxes, making revolt inevitable.
Located at the most fertile part of the continent, the Empire could not tolerate this situation and sent its army to suppress the Extreme North.
