It'd been about three weeks since the pirates took over, or I suppose we took over their ship.
"We're almost there," Alustur said.
We were done with our practice. Right now, it was just the horizon and blue seas.
"I don't see any land," I said.
This part of the ocean had that familiar green color and I saw a ship every now and then in the distance.
We were definitely almost near our destination- Shirushi port but we were still a couple of hours- at the very least- away.
Or so I'd thought but I started seeing some shimmering stuff at the end of the horizon. The shimmering stuff slowly but surely kept rising up and up and at some point, hung somewhat in the air. But I knew that probably wasn't the case and it was just a mirage. We kept getting closer and after some point the shadow below the ship disappeared.
"Malbro needs a rest," Arnet said, coming our way on his own.
"It had a name?" I asked.
"She."
"Wow…" I shrugged. "What would happen to it, I mean, her?"
"She will keep sailing the seas with the ship. Once we get off, the ship will register as an official trading ship and conduct business under Soler Barack, Baron."
I gave Alustur a glance and he didn't bother explaining.
So, I sighed and didn't pester him for one either.
At this point, who even gives a fuck man, who even gives a fuck.
I was right though. It did take us a couple of hours. Mostly because the port had limited capacity and there was a large queue ahead of us.
Eventually, we got permission and landed on Shirushi port, the city of Silver.
Ah, land! Finally, some damn land! I thought I'd sway around like the first time but I didn't. I suppose my body had adjusted.
The shining shimmering bit was the massive amount of glittery rocks they use to make their houses. Even the pavement was shimmering in the daylight. Loads of people, loads of ships, and loads of cargo. Very reminiscent of Xanir port, particularly the bamboo structures.
But… but, something was obviously different; almost all the people here were Southerners and they were glancing quite oddly at me.
Oh yeah… racism… I might or might not have forgotten that bit due to pure nostalgia.
"Woah!" I nearly tripped over when I saw a crate full of honeycrisps!
Alustur sighed. "I'll buy you a crate, now keep your head calm and let's go get a place to rest."
"Right!"
"I was not expecting him to be this excited," Kayla said.
"He gets odd, around those fruits," Alustur said. "I think women would easily be able to seduce him if they just offered honeycrisps."
Kayla laughed and I laughed too but he had a point. Focus, damn it. I have to go home and stuff not fool around with fruits!
Even though they were so damn tasty and my mouth was watering at the thought of a honeycrisp pie after so damn long, after having those bland ass food…
"Why's the ship leaving so soon?" I wondered.
"They will dock at the other port," Arnet said. "And leave tomorrow. I'll make sure your things are delivered to the Inn."
"Are you leaving as well?" I said.
"Of course not."
Figured. Sis com boy was obviously going to hang around. I knew they were trying to kill me before, and I knew I was going to have to deal with them eventually because I didn't have a proper way to control them but… but I felt slightly at ease with them, or rather with Kayla around.
However… her reason is too flimsy.
Meaning, just like she was easily coming along, she could just as easily betray or at the very least, leave.
So yeah, focus… maybe get a honeycrisps pie first though.
Sufficed to say, my head was indeed full of honeycrisps.

It was about as big as Xanir. The port was bigger, but the city was roughly the same area.
However, the city was much denser. The houses were taller, and the roads were congested. Greenery everywhere.
Too many damn people. Most were Southerners but I saw typical Westerners and even some Mountainfolk every now and then- the dwarves.
Oh, demon!
All kinds of people. There was some staring every now and then but it wasn't that bad. Who cared.
I saw a variety of fruits. Wanted to try a few too but money was an issue. I could turn the gems in and get money or sell some of my equipment but I wanted to do neither and decided to just stay put for now.
"Once we get you settled," Alustur said. "We'll go to the guild and report; I'll do the talking. Afterwards, we'll buy you honey crisps and then eat dinner; is that fine with you?"
"Absolutely!"
All I heard was that he was going to buy me loads of honeycrisps. I had no complaints! No sir~!
