Shadow Valley is truly a strategic location that military leaders fight over.
It is perfectly positioned on the path from Blackflame Mountain Pass through Wasteland Mountain into Baphomet Canyon, elevated and with a dangerous terrain, it can perfectly block the only road leading to Transylvania without needing to form a position with other points.
If the Wolf People enter here without sending forces to capture Shadow Valley, their march will surely be long exposed to the onslaught of the defending forces.
But if they send people and still can't take it for a while, although the valley's resources aren't abundant so they can't hold out for too long, having such a 'thorn' here ensures the Wolf People won't have an easy time no matter what they choose.
