Chapter 98 - Chapter 95: James You Are Going To Die...

Divination Class...

The Divination tower was cloaked in a thin haze of incense.

Sunlight filtered through the circular windows, casting golden patterns on the velvet-covered tables.

Students sat in pairs, swirling tea leaves in delicate china cups while the faintly eccentric Professor Lodric Melwyn paced around,

His purple robes billowed slightly as he gestured.

"Divination, dear students, is not about precision… but perception,"

He intoned, his voice dreamy yet oddly sharp.

"The leaves speak… if you know how to listen."

Around the room, students whispered and chuckled.

Most of them were clearly uninterested, doodling in their notebooks or simply stirring their cups.

James Potter leaned lazily in his seat, glancing sideways at the girl next to him—

Triwalery, the quiet, odd-eyed girl from Ravenclaw who rarely spoke and often seemed lost in her own world.

James lifted his cup, peering into it with mock-seriousness.

"I see… a Bludger smashing through Slughorn's office,"

He muttered to the boy who sat beside him, who snorted.

But the laughter stopped abruptly.

Triwalery suddenly shuddered—

A full-body tremor that made her teacup rattle in its saucer.

Her eyes rolled back slightly, her limbs went stiff.

The air turned cold.

Professor Melwyn, whose senses were always attuned to shifts in the ether, rushed forward.

"Silence! All of you!"

He barked, far louder than usual.

"She's channelling something—something real!"

The class went utterly still as Triwalery's lips parted, and in a deep, raspy voice not her own, she began to speak:

"The Dark Lord shall try to rise again... greater and more terrible than ever before... and someone must die for the beginning to end… The one who mocks death will be the first to fall..."

Then her pale, shaking hand lifted, and her eyes locked onto James.

"It begins... with your death... James Potter."

A stunned silence fell.

"____"

"____"

"____"

James, pale, stared back.

His hands trembled slightly.

Then his fear twisted into anger.

"What the hell is this?! Some kind of joke!?"

Without thinking, he slapped Triwalery across the face.

The girl let out a soft gasp and collapsed, completely unconscious.

"T-Triwalery!"

The professor gasped, catching her just before she hit the ground.

Gasps and cries rang through the room.

Professor Melwyn slowly rose, eyes blazing.

"Do you have any idea what you've done, Mr. Potter? Interrupting a genuine trance like this can sever a Seer's connection to their gift—forever!"

"She threatened me!"

James yelled defensively, face red with embarrassment and shock.

"It wasn't her speaking, you fool! That was a prophecy!"

A long silence followed, the weight of the words heavy on the class.

The professor stood over James with uncharacteristic sternness.

"Twenty-five points from Gryffindor."

His voice was cold.

"And you will report to Professor McGonagall after dinner for disciplinary review."

He then conjured a floating stretcher, gently placing the still-unconscious Triwalery onto it.

With a flick of his wand, the door opened, and the stretcher drifted out toward the hospital wing.

The class remained frozen in silence.

The Gryffindor boy looked at James, eyes narrowed.

"Mate… she didn't look like she was joking."

James didn't respond.

His hand still trembled slightly.

Hospital Wing...

The scent of potions lingered in the quiet hush of the Hogwarts Hospital Wing.

Candlelight flickered gently against white sheets and sterile curtains.

Triwalery lay motionless on one of the beds, her skin pale, chest rising and falling in a slow, rhythmic motion.

Her eyes, though closed, occasionally flickered as though trapped in a dream.

Standing beside her, Professor Melwyn paced angrily, wringing his hands.

"He struck her, Albus! In the middle of a prophecy! I've seen unstable trances before, but this—this-this might have shattered her Sight entirely!"

Dumbledore, calm as ever, stood at the foot of the bed, hands clasped before him.

"I understand your anger, Lodric. And I agree that James acted inappropriately. But that kid just heard his death sentence. Let us wait and see how she recovers before we pass final judgment."

Just then, the doors opened with a gentle creak.

Creak~

Professor McGonagall, her face tight with concern, entered alongside Leo Morningstar and Bellatrix, who moved with her usual composed grace.

"We came as soon as we received your message."

McGonagall said, walking toward the bed, her sharp eyes scanning Triwalery's unmoving form.

"Is she… stable?"

"Stable, yes. But her magical pathways are… fragile,"

Melwyn said, frowning.

"Her prophecy sight might never return if the damage is deep."

Professor McGonagall stood at the foot of Triwalery's bed, massaging her temple with visible frustration.

The sharp lines around her mouth deepened as she spoke.

"Just minutes before this, Leo and I were discussing how to guide James—how to teach him the difference between harmless fun and dangerous behaviour. But now… this."

She gestured toward Triwalery's unconscious form with a sigh, her voice strained with disappointment.

Sigh~

Dumbledore exhaled deeply, hands clasped behind his back as he stepped forward.

"Minerva, I believe James reacted not merely out of mischief… but fear. You didn't hear the prophecy."

Everyone turned to face him as he continued, slowly and gravely.

"Triwalery, in the midst of true Sight, declared the death of Lord Voldemort. But she also said… it would all begin with James's death."

A stunned silence fell over the room.

"____"

"____"

Even Bella's normally unreadable expression faltered.

McGonagall's hand dropped, and her stern facade shifted to concern.

"Good heavens… No wonder he lost control."

She murmured.

"Still,"

She added firmly,

"Prophecy or not, he must be held accountable. That girl may have just lost her gift—her entire future."

The Divination Professor, Professor Melwyn, looked as though he had aged ten years in the last ten minutes.

He clenched the bed railing tightly, his knuckles pale.

"She was special,"

He whispered.

"After all these years, I finally had a student with true potential… Someone to carry on my work."

Leo stepped forward, placing a steady hand on the old professor's shoulder.

"She still can,"

He said calmly.

"Let her rest. Let the magic within her settle. If there's even the faintest spark left, I'll find a way to help her recover it. I promise."

Melwyn looked at Leo, searching his eyes.

The conviction he saw there quieted the storm in his heart.

"If anyone can,"

He said softly, "It's you."

With a small nod, Leo turned toward Dumbledore.

Nod~

"There's something I need to discuss with Professor Sprout regarding the cultivation of certain magical herbs."

Dumbledore nodded in approval.

Nod~

"Go. We'll watch over her."

Leo glanced once more at the sleeping girl, then at McGonagall.

"Keep an eye on James."

He said quietly.

"He's shaken. But if we don't guide him now… the cracks will only deepen."

With that, Leo turned and swept out of the hospital wing, his cloak brushing softly against the door as it closed behind him.

Herbology Greenhouse...

The warm, earthy scent of damp soil and budding herbs filled the greenhouse as Leo stepped inside.

Sunlight filtered through the enchanted glass above, casting a golden glow on rows of thriving magical plants.

At the far end, Professor Sprout was elbow-deep in a pot of wriggling Whispering Vines, her sleeves rolled up, humming a merry tune.

Noticing his arrival, she gasped with delight, hurriedly setting down her tools.

"Professor Morningstar!"

She beamed, brushing dirt off her hands and scurrying toward him.

"You have no idea how incredible that potion of yours is!"

Leo smiled, his hands in his pockets.

"I had a hunch it would do well, but I'm glad to hear it exceeded expectations."

Sprout grinned as she gestured enthusiastically to several plant beds nearby—

Each is labelled with different soil types and magical herbs.

"I've tested it on nutrient-poor dirt, over-farmed patches, even sand from the Forbidden Forest border and deserts. And in every single case—not only did the herbs grow faster, they were healthier, sturdier, and even more magically potent!"

She pointed to a particularly vibrant Moonshade Bloom—

Its petals shimmered with ethereal light.

"This one hasn't bloomed in over twenty years. Not once. After a single dose of your Soil Fertiliser Potion—look at it!"

Leo raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed.

"So it enriches the soil and enhances magical affinity."

He muttered, mostly to himself.

"That makes it more than just a farming booster—it's an ecosystem restorer."

Sprout nodded enthusiastically.

"Exactly! Most fertilisers on the market just stimulate growth temporarily. Yours… It's like it revives the land. Makes it fertile again. If word of this gets out—Merlin, even Muggles would riot to get their hands on it!"

Leo chuckled.

Chuckle~

"They won't. Not until the Secrecy Act is lifted. For now, I want to keep testing it under controlled conditions. See how it interacts with potion-brewing herbs, restricted plants, and maybe even magical tree groves."

Professor Sprout's eyes sparkled.

"You want me to lead the full study?"

Leo nodded.

"Who better than you?"

She puffed up with pride and saluted with a garden trowel.

"Consider it done, Professor. This potion… it might not just save plants. If this world is really dying like you warned, it might just be the first root of revival."

Leo's expression turned thoughtful, his gaze shifting to a patch of soil glowing faintly under the potion's influence.

Morningstar Mansion...

The Morningstar Mansion loomed beneath a starlit sky as Leo and Bellatrix stepped through the enchanted gate.

The moment the barrier closed behind them, the air shifted—

Peaceful, familiar.

Far from the tensions of Hogwarts and the burdens of fate.

Inside, the drawing room glowed with warm candlelight and the soft clinking of teacups.

On the grand sofa, Wakana, Kejoro, Mavis, and Setura sat gathered in a gentle circle, laughter drifting through the space like soft music.

"____"

"____"

The moment Leo entered, a chorus of delighted greetings filled the room.

"Leo!"

"You're back!"

"We missed you!"

He barely had time to set down his cloak before they embraced him—

Wakana hugging his arm tightly, Mavis nearly bouncing, Kejoro giving her calm, knowing smile, and Setura tugging on his sleeve like a curious cat.

Bellatrix let out a soft chuckle from behind as she strolled in,

Chuckle~

Picked up a cookie from the silver plate, and plopped into an armchair, biting into it with a satisfied hum.

Leo grinned, ruffling Mavis's hair and giving Wakana a wink.

Wink~

"Easy now, I'm not going anywhere tonight,"

He said, easing into the sofa as they made space for him.

He poured himself some tea, leaned back, and looked at Mavis and Wakana with a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Actually… I do have something for the two of you. Something big."

Mavis blinked.

"A surprise?"

Wakana tilted her head.

"What kind?"

Leo took a sip of tea, deliberately letting the suspense stretch.

Leo let out a soft chuckle, watching the suspense play out on their faces.

Chuckle~

"Alright, alright,"

He said, setting down his teacup.

"No more teasing. Here's your surprise…"

He stood tall now, the weight of his words matching the gravity of what he was about to reveal.

"I plan to connect your worlds—Wakana's and Mavis's—to this one. Not just a portal. Not a dream. A permanent link."

"____"

"____"

"____"

The room fell silent.

Setura blinked.

Bellatrix stopped mid-bite.

She came to know Leo and others from other worlds four years ago.

Which made her very shocked.

But now this one made her even more shocked.

Kejoro gasped quietly.

Mavis's eyes widened.

"You mean… I can finally… see them again?"

Wakana's hands trembled slightly.

"You mean… my son and others?"

Leo nodded, his voice gentle but steady.

Nod~

"Yes. I've been preparing for this for a long time. And now I have something that makes it possible…"

He held out his palm, and a shimmering golden ticket-like parchment appeared in his hand.

The air around it hummed with ancient, cosmic energy.

"This,"

Leo said,

"Is the A-Z Travel Agency Permit. One of the rarest rewards the system ever gave me. It allows me to create stable bridges between different dimensions—safe, permanent, and undetectable by unwanted eyes."

Suddenly, without warning, Wakana stepped forward and pulled Leo into a kiss—

Passionate and grateful.

"Thank you… My husband,"

She whispered softly, her eyes glistening.

Leo, a little stunned, barely had time to react before Mavis lunged forward, grabbing his collar and kissing him just as fiercely.

"You have no idea… what this means to me,"

She breathed, her voice shaking.

"Thank you, Leo."

Setura giggled.

Bellatrix raised an amused eyebrow.

Even Kejoro gave a warm, motherly smile.

Leo, caught between awe and amusement, exhaled deeply and gently pulled them both into a hug.

"I understand your excitement,"

He said.

"You're finally going to see your families again. Not in dreams. Not in illusions. But face to face."

He looked toward the grand window where stars blinked over the mountains.

"We begin tomorrow. I'll start the preparations tonight."

Bellatrix crossed her legs and sipped her tea.

"Well, looks like Morningstar Mansion's about to get a lot more crowded."

Leo smiled.

"Let them come. This home was built for that very reason."

As the excitement lingered in the room, a familiar chime echoed.

He made it visible to everyone in the room.
