Chapter 229 - Nazarick Monsters I

Eventually hugged her back, not really knowing what else to do and unaware of why she was so stressed compared to the rest.

"I am okay, Yuna... I was just sleeping".

"Deities have a different concept of time as per our records, a slumber for you may be seconds, but for us it could have been thousands of years!"

"Mo- *cough!* Sister Yuna, please control yourself!" Nocturna and Merluna hurriedly yanked her away from me.

Yuna pouted and recomposed with a blush, "Hmph! In any case, I am glad you are back, Ray. Lady Haku, the slaves–"

"It has been taken care of, Yuna-chan".

"-chan?".

"Fufu~".

*RUMBLE!*

Sparks flew between and old youkai and an old elf, although I am quite fond of Yuna, I don't know who gave her the balls to oppose Haku.

"Why are you girls all together? I thought you had gone out in different units?" I approached Anna and patted her head, then pulled the sad Alana from the ground.

"After you fell on a slumber, your summons all disappeared, Ray... also the nobles of the theocracy increased their defenses, it would have been too risky to head out with just two of us in each unit, so we decided to make two bigger units instead. Sir Zariel would go with ten of his angels towards the west while we took towards the east".

"Who decided that?".

"I-I did, was I wrong?".

I pecked Anna's forehead, "No, you were right. Good work, Anna".

"Hehehe~" she giggled happily, melting my heart.

This girl is going to be the queen of the elves soon, it is good that she has begun thinking strategically, for that end, Alana has taken a step back from leadership of the five saintesses.

I summoned back Demiurge, Yuri Alpha, Lupusregina Beta and Rubedo who manifested from the darkness and knelt before me.

"We appreciate our supreme being's noble call, please state your orders, master".

As if they had their pre-recorded standards, Demiurge was always acknowledged as the leader, even when Rubedo was stronger.

"You should continue as per your plan. We don't know what Black Scripture has, so it is better if you stick together as groups with whom you have more understanding. You girls should all stick together. Haku".

"Yes, master?~"

I stopped Haku who was in the process of bullying Yuna, as expected.

"I will have Demiurge and his group aid Kurumi who is on her own at the south, or do you wish to lead a group of your own?"

I was thinking of ways to hasten this process while also keeping everyone safe. We are strong, but I won't underestimate black scripture.

"Who do you think I am, master? I don't need no one's help. I think that little slut doesn't need help either... it would be better to just send them to the capital to cause ruckus, that way they can keep black scripture's main unit busy".

"..."

I looked at them, wondering if that was a wise choice. If the capital becomes an open warzone, the security of the slaves held there won't be guaranteed, and the capital is the place where the most number of slaves are concentrated as well.

"My lord should not be concerned, we understand your objective and will take the security of the slaves as our highest priority until your arrival. Please trust our capabilities".

"Alright, Demiurge... I'll appoint you as the leader of this group. Your objective is to go to the capital and keep Black Scripture in check while securing the slaves in the region".

"One question, master", Rubedo raised her voice.

"Say it".

"Are we allowed to annihilate Black Scripture?".

"..." I looked at Haku who shrugged her shoulders with a wicked smile.

"You are allowed".

*RUMBLE!!*

Boundless darkness emitted as they bowed to me in the utmost display of respect, "It shall be done as our lord commands".

After that they disappeared in that gust of darkness heading to the centre of the Sloane Theocracy, fueled by my sun energy and ravenous in spirit.

"I think you just unleashed some monsters~".

"As long as they do what they're told..."

**

Unbeknownst to the Sun God, Osiris, two sets of monsters were heading towards the capital city of the Slane Theocracy, and they were fated to clash without precedent.

In a carriage towards the Slane Theocracy, there were three individuals seated royally in silence, each with thoughts of their own.

Shaltear Bloodfallen sat in a corner, watching the ongoing dark scenery of the border between the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Slane Theocracy. In her mind there was only one thought: Hunger.

'Blood... his blood'.

She bit her lips until they bled and found the taste of her blood rather bland and downright disgusting in comparison. For her, no other blood would be able to satisfy her.

Sitting across from her, Albedo did much the same but with her thoughts clouded in questions and wondering if what she was going to do was the right course of action. She clenched her hands tightly against her dress and diverted, unaware of Solution's vicious stare.

To light up the mood a bit, Solution thought of something that she wasn't intending to show at first, but may incentivate Albedo a bit more.

"Ains-sama's quest in the Argland Council State has come to an end. He communicated with me last night to inform me that we should move forward towards our next phase of the plan"

"He communicated... to you?" Albedo asked, shocked... this smile detail told her all she needed to know in regards to who Ains Ooal Gown trusted the most. And that was Solution, this broke her heart immensely and spread jealousy like no other in her heart.

'It should have been me!'.

"Yes, as I am the one currently in charge in E-Rantel, Ains-sama wished to communicate to me about his success. We have done everything as per his plan, Sebas Tian will march towards the palace to slay Ramposa III and the doors of the castle will be wide open for him to do so... by the end of tonight, the Re-Estize Kingdom will have a new queen; Queen Renner. Now that the Sloane Theocracy is distracted in two fronts, they won't be able to stop this regicide".

Her words gained the attention of both ladies as she pulled out what looked like a crystal ball, an item. Inside this ball, a scene began to reproduce... a scene of terror.

The corpse of a massive dragon burned, Suveria Myronsilk, one of the counsellors of the Argland Council State... the dragon the townsfolk respected and venerated through generations.

But this dragon wasn't dead.

The flames, black in colour, devoured his very soul as he became nothing more than just a plaything for its new master, a necromancer. In the surroundings of what looked like a rather modern city, corpses abounded as death knights walked and massacred everyone they saw.

Those corpses also rose from the dead to become Death Knights. Ains Ooal Gown walked forward holding his staff and drinking what looked like a potion. A malignant aura enveloped him, not a single wisp of humanity.

"Come out, Tsaindorcus Vaision! Until you show yourself and pledge allegiance to the Sorcerer King, your citizens will just continue to perish in vain!".

A catastrophe had assailed the Argland Council State, Suveria had been sent together with an army to fend off this invader. The war had taken months, but eventually a winner was decided. Ains Ooal Gown emerged victorious under the overwhelming advantage of high-ranked mana potions.

He had won a detrimental war against the Dragon Lord.

As the city consumed in darkness and despair, in one of the highest towers a gigantic platinum dragon grimaced. Tsaindorcus Vaision still couldn't completely heal from the backlash produced by his battle with Osiris.

"He must have known, that's why he attacked now!" Another one of the Dragon Lords, Omnaadsence Iculvuls, growled.

"If we don't fight back, his army will only grow in strength, Vaision!–"

"If you head rashly you will just end up joining his forces like Suveria!" His growls thundered the tower and all dragons went silent before him, their leader.

"..."

A silhouette walked from the darkness, it was a hooded old woman with a sword on its scabbard. She looked at the shrieking platinum dragon and sighed.

"Vaision, you must make a decision..." Her voice was solemn and slanted with respect, just like that of the platinum dragon.

An ancient Hero.

"..."

"We are ready to fight an extermination war against that Sorcerer King, how he calls himself... but you must be ready for this country to perish. The enemy is a powerful necromancer, a high-ranked wizard and two dark elves. Fighting his undead army is just useless... we must eliminate him".

"What do you suggest, Rigrit?".

"Submit momentarily and buy yourself time to recover... the safety of the citizen should be our priority, we can't allow him to continue killing rampantly. Not only is he denigrating the life of our supporters, but his army is just getting stronger as a result"

It took a lot of courage, but eventually he had to make the right call.

"We will submit to the Sorcerer King, until the time is nigh".
