"Dad." Fan Li stomped her foot.
Fan's father said nothing, just glared at her, and Fan Li immediately felt her legs go weak, and she knelt down without a word.
Fan's father also had someone bring over a durian.
And so, Fan Li and Fan Rou knelt together.
"Dad, I have to kneel for three hours, does she have to kneel for three hours too?" Fan Rou asked.
"Always talking too much," Fan's mother pinched her.
Fan Rou defiantly looked at her: "I only asked because I know Dad is always fair, right Dad?"
Having said that, could he say otherwise? Saying otherwise would make him seem unfair.
"Yes." Even though it pained his heart, Fan's father had no choice but to answer.
And so, Fan Li also had to kneel for three hours.
She and Fan Rou knelt side by side, and fearing a bad influence, they knelt under a tree.
The night slowly fell, and their figures were shrouded in darkness, with the tree blocking the light, only occasionally allowing light to spill through the gaps in the leaves.
