"Everyone, we have reached Las Vegas," Tony said, while their Avenjet reached Las Vegas.
"View is Nice Iron Man, but I'm guessing that's not why we're here?" Hawkeye asked.
"According to the security alert, this is where Maximus should be, Hawkeye," Tony replied.
"Who is Maximus?" Black Widow asked, this was the first time she heard the name.
"Brother of Black Bolt, tech genius. He got a thing against humans. Even the Inhumans exiled him," Hulk answered.
"What's he planning?" Captain asked.
"Don't know, Captain, Black Bolt, didn't include any details. I assume the alert came from him," Tony replied.
"It's one dude. How hard is this gonna be?" Hawkeye replied, and then Avengers landed on the front of Maximus. Ready to defend the city from the exiled Inhuman.
But when they landed, they saw, Maximus was attacking the whole city with his robot and even he was seated on an octopus-like robot who has many snakes heads.
"Where did Maximus find such pathetic goons?" Tony asked, while Avengers easily take out the robots.
"Goons are covered. Take the fight to Maximus," Captain ordered.
"The Avengers are here. How exciting," Maximus said then he attacked with his many headed snake robots, but Avengers were able to dodge it.
"You Avengers may have made it past my shock troopers," Maximus praised them, he continued, "But you're too late. My Terrigen Bomb will detonate at any moment."
"Uh, Maximus, you know the Terrigen mist has already been dispersed all over the world, right? Created lots of new Inhumans?" Tony said still fighting with Maximus.
"In certain forms, Terrigen can become very unstable, like the isotopic form. Which I'm using right now. It has the power to level the city," Maximus revealed his plan.
"I don't think that's Black Bolt approved. Gonna have to shut it down," Tony said, as he fired his attack but Maximus easily stopped it.
"My brother is a fool. You humans are nothing next to the great Inhuman civilization. The idea that we can 'work together' disgusts me," Maximus replied.
Then Thor attacked with his thunder, while Hulk threw a car at him.
"I am going to destroy one of the great human cities, and will show that humans and Inhumans can never live in harmony," Maximus shouted after being irritated by Avengers.
He activated the Terrigen Bomb, which is going to blast in one minute.
Then he lifts his snake robot to fight with Avengers, while he runs away.
But whenever Thor, Hulk or any Avengers break the Maximus' snake head robot, it always regenerates, after being broken.
Then Thor takes it from Maximus, and throws it into space.
"Fifty seconds to detonation," Iron Man said, while thinking how to deactivate the bomb, then he decided to close the power supply.
"No more power, nothing to set off the bomb." He then turned towards the Hulk and commanded him, "Hulk, rip those power cables out now."
"I don't rip. I smash!" Hulk shouted then he jumped on the main power supply which takes away the electricity of the whole Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Thor broke the ship from which Maximus was running away, "You left without saying goodbye."
"You stopped the bomb, but Inhumans and humans living together will not end well for anyone. It will lead to the downfall of our great race," Maximus warned them.
But the Avengers didn't listen to him and they decided to hand over Maximus to Attilan where Black Bolt will deal with him.
But suddenly, they were confronted by the Truman Marsh.
Who gives them command to hand over the Maximus to him, he even wants the Avengers to capture and register all over the Inhumans.
But the Avengers declined him.
"We don't need to follow your commands, we will handover it to Attilan," Tony replied, then Truman Marsh also wanted to come with them, but Tony again declined him and cut his call.
Avenjet landed on the Attilan, Gorgon greeted them, "Avengers, welcome to the new Attilan."
"Wow, this place has really changed, Gorgon," Falcon comments.
"Since the Terrigen Wave, new Inhumans have been arriving in Attilan to learn about their legacy, and to practice their powers," Gorgon replied, after taking over the Maximus he continued.
"Thank you for taking care of this problem. Sorry for the chaos he caused." He transfers Maximus to the maximum security facility to be dealt with appropriately.
Hulk and Falcon go to visit the city, while the rest of the Avengers go to visit the Black Bolt, where they found Truman Marsh already there, which they didn't like.
"Avengers, it is always good to see you. Black Bolt and Medusa and I were discussing how to help all these new Inhumans integrate into the world," Truman Marsh explained.
"They're adjusting well so far. Why fix something that isn't broken?" Captain questioned him.
"You don't think what happened in Las Vegas was a problem? That's why the National Security Council has proposed the Inhuman Registration Act."
"Every Inhuman will be registered. They will have their powers tracked. Those that don't comply willingly will go to prison," Truman revealed his plan.
"I can't believe you're even listening to this nonsense. Your Majesty, you think he knows better for your people than you do?" Captain asked Medusa.
"Black Bolt has come to accept that everything has changed for the Inhumans. There are so many of us."
"We can no longer isolate ourselves from the outside world. But... We do not like this proposal. There must be a way to compromise for the good of our people," Medusa puts forth her proposal.
Hulk and Falcon had just made contact with Dante Pertuz, the young Inhuman now calling himself Inferno.
They arrived with hopes of helping him understand and control his newly awakened powers — unstable and volatile.
But before they could guide him further, Maximus the Mad made his move.
While under heavy guard, Maximus slipped away, using chaos and psychological manipulation to his advantage.
He approached Dante quietly, feeding his fears, his doubts, his anger — whispering lies and truths so closely entangled they were impossible to separate.
"You're not their hero, Dante. You're their weapon. Let them fear you. Let the fire speak."
Hearing his provocation, Dante's control slipped. The flames erupted from his body in the wild, in uncontrollable waves.
Hulk stepped forward immediately.
"Easy, kid! Breathe. You're stronger than this!"
But Maximus' venomous words had already done their damage.
All around them, fire consumed Attilan. Towering spires crumbled.
The golden halls where Inhumans once thrived melted under Inferno's uncontrollable rage. The royal guards scrambled to save civilians. The skies turned orange with embers.
The Avengers responded quickly. Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Thor led emergency evacuations while Falcon and Black Widow helped secure escape routes for fleeing Inhumans.
Inside the inferno, Hulk refused to leave Dante behind. Gabbing his shoulders.
"This isn't who you are! You control the fire — it doesn't control you!"
Dante eyes open wide and terrified, finally collapsed to his knees, the flames slowly dying down around him. Tears steamed off his face.
"I didn't mean to… I couldn't stop it…"
"You're not the first to lose control, and you won't be the last. What matters is what you do now." Hulk told him.
But it was too late.
Attilan was gone.
The ancient floating city, home of generations of Inhumans, reduced to smoke and ash. Its people now scattered, wounded, and homeless — gathered on the outskirts of the island, staring at the ruin of what once was.
Hulk carried Dante from the ruins, stepping through fire and falling stone, until he reached the Inhuman survivors.
The Inhumans looked on in a mixture of grief and confusion. Some saw Dante as a monster. Others, a victim.
Hulk stepped forward, shielding the boy with his massive frame.
"He's one of you. You can blame him, or you can help him learn — help him be better."
"Maximus, what have you done?" Medusa asked him in anger.
"The destruction of Attilan was a beautiful sight. You call yourself a king. But you have betrayed our legacy. The Inhuman race used to be proud. You will forever regret the day you allied with the humans," Maximus taunts the Black Bolt, causing the Black Bolt to use his voice to knock out him.
"Calm down, my love," Medusa calmed the Black Bolt, she continued, "I know, Maximus' actions have taken a toll on both humans and Inhumans today. But we will build our city again."
"Yes, the Avengers are at your service," Captain America agreed with her.
"We'll come up with a plan. We'll do something. We need to find a temporary shelter until Attilan can be rebuilt," Iron Man also promised to support them.
But then, Truman Marsh comes with his security through his jet. "I told you that the Inhumans are dangerous. What happened today proves my point. Now everyone can see that safety precautions are needed," He again put his voice.
"I... I'm here to turn myself in," Dante surrendered himself, and Truman Marsh ordered his security to arrest him.
"This was not your fault. It was Maximus. But there are many Inhumans now, and we do not know what they are capable of," Medusa comes and tells Truman.
"Today Inhuman history changed forever. We must do what is best for our people and for the whole world. We will cooperate with your registration plan," She agreed with his plan.
"Thank you, Your Majesty. I expect the Avengers' help enforcing registration," Truman Marsh said, but Avengers declined from giving their support.
Truman then revealed a maximum security prison. For those who didn't register themselves will be thrown there by considered a threat to the security of the world.
"This is my tech. And are those guard bots based on my Hulkbuster armor?" Tony was shocked to see this.
Thor even tries to warn them by explaining how they can just hand over the sovereignty of their people in Truman Marsh's hands.
But Medusa declined his warning by saying, "My husband would like to remind you that this is a new world. We must use new tactics. And anyone who does not adapt is doomed."
