In Kurt's class, Amanda kept smiling and watching him wistfully. After class, she asked him to go to the dance. He agreed. She told him that she would call him later.
At the Institute, Xavier, Forge, and Wolverine are examining the data from Kurt's experiment. They discover the demons in the other realm. Forge says that Kurt will have to portal again so they can gather more information. Wolverine volunteers to go along so Kurt will be safe.
Kurt talks to Scott and Evan about his date. They decide that Kurt will have to wear gloves so that Amanda can't feel his fuzzy fingers. Taryn pops out of nowhere and asks Scott to the dance. Scott looks pretty happy, and he tells Taryn yes.
At another table, "Kitty got the first chance to dance with Ben," Risty told Rogue.
"Well, at night, I can get my chance back," Rogue replied, and both decided to go together to the party.
After school, Taryn was talking to her friends about going to the dance with Scott.
At the Brotherhood house, everyone is making fun of Lance. Tabitha, Todd, and Blob all decide to go together.
"You all are pathetic," Pietro called them.
"Why? You think you are too good for me," Tabitha asked him.
"I can easily keep four girls busy," Pietro replied proudly.
At the institute, Kurt and Wolverine perform the experiment again. But when they reached inside the Middleverse. They were attacked by demons. But Wolverine tackles them, and Kurt ports them on the time, so they manage to escape.
"I will never use my powers for going inside the Middleverse," Kurt said, still frightened by the scene.
Xavier and Forge come to pick them up. Wolverine inquires about the possibility of the demons still being able to track them. Forge explains that it depends on whether Kurt's portal closes completely or not.
Unknown to them, a demon was finally able to force its way through a rip. Following it, another demon made its way through a rift in the Danger Room below.
At the school dance, Kitty and Ben are dancing together, Kitty is so happy. While Scott and Taryn were dancing on the other side. Tabitha, Todd, and the Blob showed up together.
Quicksilver arrived with four dates all at once. A slow dance came up, and Amanda and Kurt danced together, looking pretty happy. Jean was waiting for her chance, as Kitty finished dancing with Ben. Risty then showed up with Rogue.
Amanda tells Kurt that she knows about him being different. Kurt tries to laugh it off, but Amanda tells him she's willing to wait until he's ready to tell her.
Blob and Todd wait for Tabitha outside of the bathroom. One of the demons shows up and Todd screams like a girl. They are backing away in terror as Tabitha comes out. She turns and the demon lunges at her.
A second rift opens between them, and a demon pops out during the school dance. Rogue and Risty run away. Scott blasts one and Jean beats another senseless with her telekinesis. Ben protects Kitty as another demon tries to attack them; he finally manages to beat it senseless. Amanda begs Kurt to port them away, and he finally does, just as a demon lunges for them.
Students are streaming out of the school in a panic as Xavier, Forge, and Wolverine arrive. Rogue and Risty run into another demon that has some students cornered. Rogue tries to help them by baiting the demon. Risty blasts it with a fire extinguisher and they both take off running.
"X-Men focused on the demons only," Ben shouted, as he activated the Time Pause, which stopped all of the people and the demon, except for the X-Men.
"Thanks Ben, I will take care of them," Forge said, and with his ray gun, he started blasting the demons; but still it took him an hour to finish.
"Finally, everything is okay," Ben said, then with a boom sound he fell to the ground. Ben resumed the Time Pause one hour, so he was exhausted from having kept it on for over an hour, that's why he collapsed there.
"You are okay Ben," Jean picked up him, and she brought him towards the Mansion. Kitty and Rogue follow Jean. The X-Men also returned back to the mansion, while the Brotherhood of Mutants stood behind and watched them leave.
Outside, Amanda and Kurt are walking home. "Kurt, I know about your secret, I have seen you change at school one day and disappear," She tells him. Then she asks "Can you show me what you really look like?"
Kurt hesitates for a few seconds, "Of course," Then he turns off his image inducer reluctantly. Amanda rubs his face, "Blue is my favorite color." They head off to the ice cream shop together.
Meanwhile, in the Xavier Mansion, they didn't know why Ben had collapsed. Then Xavier thought something and explained, "I think Ben has been continuously using his Time Pause. While he also focused on the fact that humans and demons were completely frozen, not know what happened around them. And he also needs to focus on his powers, so that we are not affected by his powers. Maybe this causes him to overuse his powers and collapse eventually."
Wolverine and Beast nodded, with the rest of them going back to their room. But from time to time, Rogue, Kitty, Ororo, and Jean take care of him; they do their work as a dutiful wife works for their husband, while he stay unconscious.
However, since Ben has been in coma, all the teaching has been left up to the older mutants.
So, Jean is training Amara, "Remember, focus on your concentration, don't let your power control you. I know it is difficult, but try it. Ok ready." Amara nodded.
Jean then brings the rock in line together, and makes a bridge of it, "Now melt them together," She said to Amara.
"If this doesn't work, I am not taking a blame. I told you I was not ready for this," Amara said, while she transformed into full fire, and she attacked on the rock with her fire.
---
Cyclops walks briskly into the training area, arms crossed and a stern look on his face. "Jean, the Professor asked me to remind you that Amara shouldn't be late for her first day of high school," he says firmly, eyes shifting between the two girls.
Jean glances over her shoulder, her expression calm but slightly annoyed. "Relax, Scott. I've got it under control. We'll finish this last exercise and be right on time."
But Scott doesn't back down. He steps closer, his voice rising just a bit. "Well, maybe you should wrap it up now. The Professor—"
Before he can finish, the ground rumbles slightly as a large boulder breaks free from the rocky training course nearby, rolling dangerously toward them.
Jean turns to Amara, maintaining her composure. "Okay, Amara. This is your moment. Focus your heat. Melt the boulder back into the earth, just like we practiced."
Amara lifts her hands, summoning a wave of lava-like energy—but her aim is slightly off. The molten energy misses the boulder's base, and instead of stabilizing, it begins to tip.
Jean's eyes flash, and she quickly lifts her hand, catching the boulder mid-air with her telekinesis, straining slightly to hold its massive weight just above their heads.
But before Jean can safely set it down, Scott charges up his visor. "I got this!" he yells, and fires a sharp optic blast, shattering the boulder into dozens of small pieces.
The debris rains down over Jean and Amara, bouncing off Jean's hastily thrown-up force field. A few chunks land harmlessly nearby, but it's enough to rattle Amara.
Jean spins around, furious. "Scott! What the hell was that?!"
Scott steps forward, defensive. "I was just trying to help. You looked like you needed backup."
"I had it under control," Jean snaps. "She was learning. This was her lesson. You just blew it—literally."
"She could've been hurt," Scott insists.
Jean narrows her eyes. "No, she was doing fine until you barged in playing hero. You didn't trust her to handle it. Or me."
Scott is taken aback, guilt flickering across his face. "I just thought—"
"Don't," Jean cuts him off. "Don't follow me. Don't interfere again."
Without another word, she turns and walks away, her boots echoing sharply down the corridor. Amara, still shaken but clearly on Jean's side, throws a quick glare at Scott and hurries after her mentor.
Scott stands in silence, alone in the hallway, fists clenched at his sides, frustration and regret mixing in his eyes.
---
Meanwhile, at the Brotherhood house, Tabitha blasts down the bathroom door. She uses Todd mouthwash and then throws a bomb in the shower with him, blasting out water and all. Then she proceeds to steal Lance's jeep and head off to school.
At school, Kitty is showing Amara to her first class, which she happens to have with Tabitha. Tabitha then invited her to malls with her after school, which Amara agreed to.
Jean spots them leaving with Scott's help, which leads to an argument. Frustrated, Jean storms off with Scott's keys.
At the mall, they witnessed a car-jacking, pursued the criminals, and managed to prevent any harm to bystanders. They successfully immobilized the criminals but fled when they heard the police were approaching.
The incident makes the news, but Jean and Amara choose to keep it secret.
But soon, they were captured in a trap set by a ring of car thieves seeking to catch the Sirens. In a showdown at a warehouse, a fight breaks out, and fires start from Tabitha's blasts.
Amidst the chaos, Jean and Amara trap the ringleader. The girls subdue the crooks, extinguish the fires, and face a policewoman, who reveals herself to be Mystique. She warns them to stop, offering freedom in exchange. They agree and escape before more police arrive.
Later at the Institute, Jean discusses the Siren's actions with Ben. She expresses satisfaction in helping people and hopes for a time when they can do so openly.
"It's okay, there will be a day to come," Ben replied, giving hope to Jean, before falling asleep again.
Although he had recovered from the previous situation, he still needed to sleep 4 to 6 hours more to fully recuperate.
