Chapter 5 - 186-190

Chapter 186 TINY

Noah zoomed across the streets of a certain area in the Dragon's claw city, without much care.

His current speed, although really draining in terms of essence consumption, was simply to quick for even tier 3's to follow.

However, the yellow streak which were actually reminants of the essence that allowed him move that fast, could be clearly sighted.

News of the strange sightings spread across that districts residents like wild fire. The fast yellow streak only few could even sight, became a sort of news, but nothing more.

Most didn't even believe, further reducing it to nothing more than a rumour.

Having always noticed the tendrils of electrical energy he emitted while running, Noah had performed multiple tests during his travel to see whether he could stop the only thing that made his quick movement obvious.

Unfortunately that required a deeper understanding of the speed force which he didn't have currently.

Noah felt utterly lost in trying to comprehend the speed force as a whole. He gained what felt like the general idea of that energy, but something deep within him told him that there was far more.

Where to start he genuinely didn't know. There weren't any guide for that topic provided to him, at least as of current. He hoped such would be available to him in the time to come.

Temporarily moving away from that topic, we move to Noah's current position.

From the maps illustration, the head branch of the Divine Lightning guild was located in a district called Guio.

The district or area, or whatever the people of Cregar termed it, was surrounded by a wide river, but out of that river emerged multiple large curved and pointy rocks, almost like a makeshift cage.

ραпdα nᴏνa| сom The veiw from the empty land area elevated a few 50 feets allowed him witness that strange scene well.

Truth be told, Noah viewed the whole city as a state, he found it hard to see the entire place only as a city.

But seeing as the people of Creagar didn't divided such large populated land areas into such; instead opting to come together as a nation, he could only settle for that.

The town of sorts which laid before him didn't have any walls, but the multiple bridges connecting it to the land around it allowed for certified existences to stand guard.

Waves of people poured in and out of that special environment. The district felt like a city of its own, but its acritecture remained smililar to the others.

On his way there, Noah had encountered mostly flat lands, filled of course with hundreds of populated buildings.

He didn't have the time or rather didn't want to spend time admiring the beauty of the city.

With the large wall that showed the end of that city in the distance, Noah kept getting reminded of his reason for being there.

A sigh eventually escaped Noah's mouth while he continued to gaze at the sparkling blue water in the distance.

A soft breeze blew upon his face sending his pure white hair flying everywhere, but he didn't bother to straighten them

The sun above him tried its best to penetrate the seemingly cool layer constantly surrounding Noah's body but failed miserably.

The way down that relatively high place was rocky. He could perform a simple sprint and be over with it, but didn't.

Instead he took his time walking his way down, even if there remained a clear path only a few hundred meters from his position.

Halfway down the elevation, Noah seemed to snap out of a daze, as he straightened his position to sweep his gaze on his surroundings.

'What the heck am I doing,' he wondered in genuine confusion. A frown appeared on his while he reviewed his memory, and found nothing odd, yet why was he struggling his way down that place, instead of just running.

Noah stayed put for a few tens of seconds until he managed to make sense of his situation. At this point his figure had begun to recieve stares from those above and below him.

'I guess this is what the system meant,' Noah sighed. Something seemed to have taken over him during his time watching that district from above.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

His weird behavior had been triggered due to the hesitation and nervousness brewing within him, and his mind found walking down the rocky terrain the best way to stall.

'Nothing happened during my time with the cultivators two days ago, why now,' he wondered, finding a good spot to stand without having to crouch.

A tiny portion of essence flowed out of his barely half-filled core to wash over his body, Noah disappeared from that spot after that event.

His figure produced no yellow streak due to the Incredibly low amount of essence used.

His figure flickered over 36 ft below his former position; which at this point the flat ground.

That event certainly caught attention, but in a world filled with monsters able to level cities even as big as the entirety of the Dragons claw city, Noah's feat remained only amusing, even if their eyes wasn't able to follow his movement.

Notwithstanding, some tried to walk up to the suprisingly Incredibly good looking guy, but he had vanished again.

Noah arrived in front of the river surrounding that district. His hand slid down the obsidian black rock hundreds of meters high, and tens of meters wide.

That curved stone seemed to offset something inside of him since Noah blinked mulitiple times.

'Very troublesome!' He exclaimed inwardly.

Eventually leaving that site, Noah proceeded to walk up to the line into the district.

Not being a private body, there weren't any need for ID's.

Experiencing multiple short bouts of confusion and lack of focus, Noah confirmed that the reason for the sudden event was due to the nervousness he felt.

It seemed having two active personalities within his mind caused for a clash of ideas. With both sides losing to each other, his body simply moved on Instincts.

Anything that so much as tickled his curiosity would gain his full attention, almost literally pulling him towards it.

To deal with this Noah had to practice the breathing technique he utilized for his energy core cultivation. His senses calmed down and he eventually passed the security inspection. A rowdy one it was.

During his time on that queue, Noah had the full attention of his surroundings.

Men clicked their tongues at him, women muttered with short giggles and glances, while the tamed magical beasts steered away from him.

Now that he thought to it, his time waiting on lines were usually like this, only this one being filed with much powerful existences.

A bit of asking was all Noah needed to get himself in the right direction towards the guild branch. Most replied him simply because of his looks, while others due to the respect they had for his aura-less power.

The bouts of confusion experienced an exponential increase now that his goal remained only a few kilometers from him.

The breathing technique worked, but only a bit; as thoughts on what exactly he would say when he arrived there filled his mind.

Truth be told he remained clueless on what to do. He planned to show whoever would attend to him, the box given to him by Melissa, who's identity he still fully didn't know.

The approach could work, but questions he didn't desire to answer would eventually be asked, and even worse he could have to confront her again if they desired to cross-check his identity

But changes that happened during his almost four months on Creagar had been to much. She wouldn't even recognize him since he had gone from looking close to killer, to downright breath-taking.

A series of battles continued within Noah's mind on his walk towards the place described to him by the really friendly residers of that district.

However, all conflicting thoughts vanished from Noah's mind when he arrived in front of a tiny, run-down looking building.

Chapter 187 LUCKY

Deep confusion ravaged the insides of Noah's mind at the sight that lay before him.

He couldn't help but sweep his gaze on his surroundings; to confirm that he had arrived at the place the people had directed him to.

He had confirmed from exactly seven Individuals before getting there, so he knew this was it. 'But really,' he wondered, perplexed.

Noah fully expected a grand building pained with golden colours and bustling with Individuals.

He even half expected the place to be surrounded by a dark cloud releasing bolts of heavenly lightning, or something.

But all that imagination went down the drain when his eyes continued to fall on a run-down building with black and grey-ish paint, causing for its old look.

The buildings around the black building made a massive contrast, as his destination seemed to be in a world of its own.

People even avoided the building like an ugly scar, as they didn't even spare it a second glance.

Multiple minutes passed, and Noah felt the excitement he had for that guild burn. That emotion exiting his head like smoke.

Doubts filled Noah's mind about the whole thing, but the old saying; don't judge a book by its cover, rang in his head, giving him boost in morale.

Unfortunately the insides of the book looked just as bad as its cover.

Noah pushed the brown, barely standing door, to step foot into a dimly lit environment.

The smell of dampness and dust fought their way into his nose, and he shurnk back in disgust, wondering how a place could smell dry and wet at the same time.

'When last was this door opened,' Noah couldn't help but wonder.

Dusty surfaces filled his entire view and what he recognized as seats looked to have been clothed with decades of dust.

"What a surprise!" A young and vibrant voice suddenly spread Inside the almost completely dark room, disquieting it.

All Noah needed was a few more seconds, and he would have concluded the place abandoned.

Noah managed to sight the shadowy figure of a person sitting across the room, behind the probably dusty reception table.

"Stop staring and come over," the male voice sounded, promoting Noah's suspicious movement.

His spells remained at the tip of his mind since he couldn't sense the power of the individual. If he could, he wouldn't have thought the place desolate.

He soon arrived before the reception and gained clearer visuals of the person speaking to him.

Noah laid eyes on the face of s middle-aged man. The man had green coloured hair that seemed to shimmer under the rooms low lights.

He sported round brown eyes that seemed aged even from that short inspection.

Although looking middle-aged, the man's face featured no blemishes or wrinkles, and the light smile on his face further enhanced his slightly above average looks.

"What do you seek young man?" The man spoke before Noah could open his mouth.

Trying his best to understand the man's power but failing, Noah relied on the system to accomplish that goal while he spoke.

[Name: Rhy ]

[Race: Human]

[Title: Guild branch coordinator]

[Tier: 3[Higher]]

[Affinity: Lightning]

[Level of danger: Unknown]

Noah felt surprised to see the man's affinity, but that emotion didn't show in his voice.

"I wish to join the Divine Lightning guild," Noah announced not shying away, even though the cultivator held more power than he.

Silence reigned for a few seconds, the middle-aged man seemingly contemplating something.

"I'm sorry young man, but you are already too late," the cultivator eventually announced, causing Noah's mood to instantly darken.

"Registration ended a few weeks ago, and it had been on for more than two months," he explained shaking his head.

"When will the next registrations start," Noah asked trying to find a glimmer of hope in that unexpected situation.

"We only recruit every two year's," the man stated.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

Noah held his breath unconsciously at those words, and he soon felt his plan begin to crumble rapidly. The mere thought of traversing the forest again sent chill down his spine.

The middle-aged man; Rhy, watched Noah's expression experience multiple changes, each expression darker than the last.

A tinge of pity shone in his eyes at that point. The young man was someone of the lightning element, he could clearly sense it due to the familiarty that elements have to each other.

"Will this change things," Noah suddenly spoke startling the man, while a golden box appeared in Noah's palm, an illusory image of the beautiful Melissa brightening up the room with its yellow light.

An eyebrow rose on Ryhs face at that point, and he soon furrowed those green and thick brows.

"She said I should drop by anytime I had chance. I didn't know that the distance was this far. And I'm a traveller" Noah explained, desperately trying to find a way out.

"Young man when did you receive this from her," Rhy asked, his consideration looking do-able in his mind.

"About two months ago or three," Noah replied genuinely unsure. Too much had happened during that time and there wasn't any proper way of recording the passage of time. At least as far as he knew.

"Hmmm....Lady Melissa only gives this to those she finds impressive. I believe I can make a compromise," Rhy explained, his cool voice sparking hope in Noah's heart.

"Although we only have three weeks till the screening process. I can still allow your registration," Rhy announced, and the whole room lit up with a deep golden radiance.

The dust in that place vanished and the whole place seemed to tidy itself!

A series of orange Inscriptions shone in front of Noah, as the whole place seemed to stretch; two round metallic platforms appearing before he and the man, further separating them.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ "You are a really lucky man to arrive here at this time. I was about to begin the preparations for the gathering of the already registered aspirants," Rhys voice spread in the room, his exactly location not visible from Noahs position.

"Stand here," the man suddenly appeared behind him, his expression that of light amusement. But the details that caught Noah's attention the most was his outfit.

Disregarding the good looking and regally adorned black garment with golden stripes and a few other things; Noah focused on the sensation his instincts experienced at the garments material.

Nothing he could currently do felt able to pierce it.

A series of yellow and and orange lights scanned Noah's full figure, spreading a weird sensation through his body.

Soon a live model of himself appeared before him, but it was illusory.

"Ah! You have a nice comprehension of the lightning affinity for your level. It'll help you a lot, but it's still not enough," the man explained.

"As far as I'm concerned in the category of tier 3 experts your base power is the weakest. Multiple experts with peak-lower-stage prowess and middle-stge prowess signed up. Although most weren't lightning affinity weilders their power can't be denied."

Noah's illusory image shurnk into a nothing more than a thumbs size, and an illusory black box contained it.

"What is your name young man?" Rhy asked tweaking with a few floating panels.

"Aiden," Noah replied, and a series of large yellow letter's spelling his name appeared in front of him, before shrinking to enter the box.

"Place both your hands on them," Rhy gestured at the round metallic platforms.

Doing exactly as he was told, Noah felt a strange jolt of energy course through his whole body, while vibrant red lights spread throughout the black metallic objects at his touch.

"This confirms your affinity. Non-lightning affinity holders would have been sent flying," Ryh giggled.

"It is done," the man eventually announced, after a minute or so of silence.

A black ring flaoted towards Noah, and he didn't hesitate to grab it.

"When you active it, your information will be displayed," Rhy explained while the rooms light died down, and everything began to recede to how they were before. Dirty.

Noah wore the ring and his mind quickly activated it. A series of stats shone in the space in front of him, but Noah noticed something that he didn't hesitate to read out.

"Registration position, 12,079," Understanding dawned on him and he couldn't help but swallow nervously.

"Yes, there were twelve thousand aspirants this season. But only around three thousand or two will be allowed in. If things go well," the expert explained from a position Noah couldn't see.

"So go prepare young man. I'd hate to see someone lady Melissa recommended go to waste," Rhy seemed to disappear and reappear at certain points in the building, until he finally returned to his seat. Allowing Noah focus on him again.

Noah didn't bother to complain inwardly, he understood that such a well sought out guild would have high requirements.

'But damn!' he still couldn't help but shake his head.

However, a question soon rose in his mind amidst his multiple thoughts.

"If this building is the head and only branch, and it is currently empty, not to talk of small. Where will that many people stay?," He didn't hesitate to voice his confusion.

Chapter 188 SECLUSION

You need not worry about that for now. Just remember to return here when the ring signal's you. Failure to do so will mean forfeiting your registration," Rhy shrugged the question.

Noah could only keep his ideas to himself at that point, and silence soon spread before them.

"I really don't know how you'll do it, but try as much as possible to increase your power young man. The competition will be fierce, some will die, but only few will gain entry into our great guild," Rhy adviced.

"I look forward to seeing you join our guild. Lightning affinity holders aren't easy to come by."

Noah performed a deep bow in genuine thanks, the expert had really made his day.

Noah proceeded to walk towards the exit after his bow, Rhys hawk-like gaze following him.

"Before I go. Why exactly is this place small. I know the space within it can be manipulated, but still, I expected something grander," Noah turned to quickly speak.

A wide smile broke on Rhys face at that very familiar question. "You have no idea how many times I've had people ask me that. However, you'll only understand when you are fully a member of our guild. Our abode.....is a bit special," Rhy giggled, and Noah felt a powerful force act on his body, then he found himself outside.

Confusion and curiosity spread in Noah's mind at that point, but he tried his best to limit it, his focus quickly going on his next plan.

"Three weeks," Noah muttered, 'I should be capable of getting stronger in that time,' he thought, walking down the street with no real destination in mind.

"I hope this isn't a waste of time like bozolom," Noah spoke as doubts began to appear in his mind.

He didn't like the wait that followed most events in that world, even though it was a totally normal.

Making provision for 12,000 humans wasn't something to be rushed.

Noah replayed Rhys advice in his head, and the only way he could think of getting exponentially stronger was of course, through cultivating.

Having found that the boons of cultivating were actually much, Noah decided it was time to focus more on it.

A few weeks had gone and he had barely cultivated seriously, it was time to return into seculsion.

"A little exploring won't kill me," Noah eventually grinned after concluding on his plan.

He would be spending a long time grinding his way into power, a little fun wouldn't hurt before that boring activity started.

The district of Gioh remained a large place, and there weren't any shortage of engaging activities to try out.

Mostly eating his way through the restaurants around him, Noah spent only a tiny bit of his money.

He still had the Nindium plants which he could sell, but doing that would only slow him down, for now at least.

'I can even utilize them. Or at least try,' Noah thought, exiting a building with what looked like a slice of cake.

He had been greatly surprised to find that something bearing such resemblance to the earthly cusine exsisted.

However its taste remained horrible.

Ugly expressions spread on his face with each bite he took, but his powerful stomach didn't manage to budge under the nauseating effects of the food substance.

How people enjoyed the disgusting mass of flour and condiments he couldn't comprehend, left his mouth agape.

His meal of sorts eventually finished, and Noah felt himself really begin to consider opening a bakery in that world. That would be for the greater good of humanity in that planet.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

"That tasted like shit," Noah grimaced trying to freeze his tongue, but his spells didn't work on him.

His icy blue eyes eventually paused to scan his surroundings. Ignoring the waves of people traversing the wide street meant only for those on foot, Noah took a deep breath, before exhaling. A cold mist forming in front of his mouth.

His figure still caught the attention of passerbys who had their focus partially on their surroundings, and he soon began to recieve gaze's.

He limited himself to begin movement at that point, so as to avoid someone approach him. After all such had happened before.

Ideas on on what to do before the sunset were constructed and dismissed multiple times in mere seconds.

And he eventually arrived at one that wouldn't get him killed or waste too much time, which was to take a bath.

'It's been a while,' Noah thought finding his way to any building resembling an inn. 'I wonder how I don't smell in this world,' he chuckled.

Eventually found an inn he didn't hesitate to take a room for a period of 6 hours, since that was the least amount of time he could lodge in one.

Paying a sum of 5 small silver coins, Noah felt that price worth it since the whole place looked top-notch.

His entry into his room proved his earlier guess right, and Noah didn't hesitate to dive into the bathroom.

A brown tub lay before him upon his entrance, causing a wave of nostalgia to fill his mind.

The most he had experienced in that world were simply hose's that poured water.

Noah spent the next three hours calmly sitting inside his soapy tub, multiple thoughts filling his mind while in that soothing activity.

A wave of sleep tried to engulf him at some point during the three hours, but circulating a minute amount of his essence vanquished that feeling.

"It's time," Noah's eventually muttered at some point, exiting the tub to wash himself clean and exit the room, not minding the three hours he had left.

pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ An environment with an almost fully set-sun, lay before his eyes as Noah began his move towards a seemingly random direction.

At some point down the street, Noah felt he had experienced enough of that scenery, and his figure vanished.

Arriving Inside his cultivation room which had it's surface filled with tens of bottles filled with the familiar yellow liquid, Noah waved his hand to store his gains. However, he unfortunately couldn't make more of his potions, at least for now.

A prompt had informed him of the limit of his brewable speed potions being one hundred. As long as he had exactly one hundred at hand, more wouldn't be produced.

Three golden books appeared, floating before him. As his now expressionless gaze fell on their surfaces.

A dialogue went on with the system, and he asked it to divide the day into three parts which he would use soley for cultivating all his vessels of power.

"Signal me when each session has ended," Noah ordered putting off his black garment.

He felt the need to allow the essence which would soon fill that place directly come in contact with his skin, and he also didn't want to destroy his only clothes.

"Which shall I start with..." He muttered glancing at his three manuals. Noah currently had a vague goal for the time period he would spend cultivating, and could only hope things would go well enough for that significant boost in power to be achieved.

Deciding to start with his essence core, Noah activated the cultivation room, while also setting its density to the level he could currently handle without much issues.

From that day on for the next couple of weeks, Noah did nothing but cultivate, cultivate and cultivate, as he prepared himself for the trials ahead knowing that they would test his limits. Hopefully.

Chapter 189 TERMINATION

Noah quietly sat inside the whiteness of his cultivation room, while rivers of seemingly liquid essence of a deep yellow shade floated around him.

Something about that energy felt different as its quality seemed to have taken a significant hike, standing in a realm of its own.

Noah, who's body remained cloth-less, saw his chest rise and fall in a series of rythmic patterns, allowing for his the cultivation of his essence core.

A few hours passed and his whole body experienced a violent tremor, forcing him to stop that training session.

"This one too," Noah muttered, lifting his eyelids to gaze at the spot his spherical core lay, peacefully rotating

However, different from the usual black core it had, Noah's core had clearly experienced a change. His core looked far darker than before, and the essence within it resembled liquid, and exuded a level of power and purity far higher than he should have.

The essence surrounding his body eventually died down, and surprisingly, Noah's body gave off a yellow glow of its own.

Every inch of his body looked to have undergone a change even if slightly. Noah had lost a bit of his bodily fat, his figure featuring more compact and clearly defined muscles.

His facial features seemed to have also been high-lighted, since Noah looked far beautiful than before.

Performing a series of light stretches, Noah got used to the new level of strength he had, and the confidence he exuded spoke of something. Something that he had only hoped to achieve but had actually accomplished.

"I've really acquired rank 2 speed essence," Noah announced, and the space surrounding his figure seemed to tremble at his ever growing excitement.

Having cultivated like a mad-man for multiple days, at the mark of his second week, Noah found that his core wouldn't improve, half-way into that day's session. His first bottleneck.

A series of tries which ended in failure confirmed that reality, and for the next few hours which he had utilized in cultivating his soul core, his mind remained filled with worries.

However, at the end of that training session, an idea sprung up within him, and he didn't hesitate to question the system.

Apparently he had reached the limit of rank 1 speed essence. The extra pages in his cultivation manual specifically explaining the process for the breakthrough, confirmed that.

The process for the breakthrough, had been more excruciating than the last, but he had scaled through. Barely.

From that point, his mind also experienced a bottleneck, but unlike his core, its next breakthrough would have to be into tier 4. Which only levelling up could accomplish.

Then his body stopped improving too, now being filled with rank 2 essence, it too needed to level up to improve.

Finally, his core didn't accept more of the essence around it. And it had sent a violent wave of energy through his body to inform him of that.

Truth be told, Noah currently felt filled. His muscles, speed core and even mind felt loaded with too much energy. And he felt the need to release that un-hurtful stress, which only levelling up could achieve.

Noah's icy blue eyes; which seemed to posses an increased level in intensity, swept his surroundings, still filled with thoughts.

Two days earlier, the black ring had informed him of the nearing departure.

He had four days to left before he would be required to return to the guild branch, and he felt the need to take care of a few important matters first.

Even with those needs in mind, Noah decided to check out his stats first, and they left him greatly satisfied.

His stats had shot through the roof, and the extra boost of breaking into rank 2 essence made them even more outrageous.

However, thinking to the fact that these stats would be unchangeable for a period of time, didn't make the seem outrageous anymore, even if they were. For his level at least.

'Can i even be considered a lower-stage cultivator at this point," Noah giggled, 'The aspirants are in for a surprise,' a cheeky grin inevitably found it way to his face.

A bit more of marvelling at his stats was all Noah needed to experience a significant boost in confidence, he almost couldn't wait to fight powerful cultivators, especially middle-staged experts.

Willing the yellow glow his body radiated to die down, Noah nodded in satisfaction when exactly that happened.

He had gained an increased control over the speed essence, but wasn't sure if that translated to an Increase in comphrension.

With most of his time having being used for cultivation, Noah had virtually no time to practice his elements during the two weeks.

However, Ideas flowed into his mind whenever he thought of them. This was simply as a result of his now larger and sturdier soul core and island. Which brings us back to the need he planned to satisfy.

He had something else to do in relation to that vessel of power. Something that had proven to be an issue even during his cultivation.

'I want Aiden gone,' Noah announced to the system, and a panel almost immediately popped up.

[[Are you prepared to face the consequences? Going ahead would mean you won't be at your peak during the upcoming fights]]

'I understand. But keeping him would mean i could lose focus anytime. Suffering such during a battle could have me lose. I'd be stupid leaving it,' he explained, 'I can always work my way around the slight weakness i'll have to undergo,' he added with a resolute expression.

'Though, I'd still like to know how much of my power will be lost,' he said after a few seconds of silence.

[[The exact amount remains vague. But I believe it shouldn't be more than 7% or 10%. Do keep in mind that those figures could increase or decrease anytime]]

'Go ahead anyway,' Noah replied.

[Do you wish to undergo the termination of all miscellaneous memories of previously intergrated simulation, while keeping the knowledge-filled portions]

[Yes/No]

[Note: This will cost you a portion of your soul island]

Heaving a slight sigh, Noah chose the affirmative option, and waited for something to happen.

A few tens of seconds passed with his focus being in his soul realm, but nothing happened.

However, exactly after a minute of waiting, Noah experienced an intense pain that stemed from a place deep inside his head.

He lost and regained his consciousness multiple times in the span of an instant; when a significant portion of his soul island suddenly vanished.

[Termination of miscellaneous memories complete]

[You have successfully lost 30% of your soul stats]

Chapter 190 TRANSFORMATION

An astonished expression shone one Noah's face at the words the systems prompt contained.

An incredible thirty percent of his soul stats had been shaved off, permanently.

Although the issue remained important, he needed to find a way to not lose consciousness.

Noah's entire soul realm trembled violently at the sudden emptiness of a portion of its landmass.

His island immediately began to reshape itself in order to accommodate the missing portions, but there was only so much it could do.

Noah felt Intense jolts of pain ravage his mind, and he suddenly found himself trapped within his own mind. The whiteness of his soul realm also seemed to dim, further causing more pain.

The immense black box far above his island, lay without so much as a tremble, and Noah wondered if touching it would do something.

His soul of sorts began its flight towards the systems material, however at a particular point almost halfway there, an equally immense transparent barrier appeared before him stopping his ascension.

Noah had gotten desperate at this point, chunks of his island had begun to fall off, dispersing into the immense bottomless pit that was that environment.

"Give me something! Anything!" Noah cried out when a large crack began to find its way across his island's 5 kilometer radius.

Noah felt his consciousness experience a sort of glitch at that sight, and his whole figure seemed to stretch downwards, crashing into his island.

Unfathomable pain blinded Noah's very consciousness, as blackness began to spread around him.

No thoughts flowed through Noah's mind at this juncture, more cracks beginning to spread on his island, as chaos continued to reign supreme.

A crack eventually appeared on his black soul core, and beams of multicolored lights flooded out of its insides. Noah immediately lost the tiny consciousness he had left, and the whiteness of his soul realm continued to darken.

However, being a part of the Speedling race and having access to rank 2 essence, Noah had a few more privileges available to him, even if he remained far from being a complete speedling.

The essence within his black core churned violently, before bursting forth; flowing into that separate realm.

Seeing the damage Noah's soul core suffered, that mass of energy seemed to wail, before shooting forward.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ Unlike the normal empowerment the speed forces's energy applied to his mind, this process remained something completely different.

Noah's soul island saw a not-so foreign energy engulf its surface. His essence core almost emptied itself at that action, but 10,000 SE points remained.

The liquid-like essence which stood at the second rank of the speed forces's purity, shone in that environment as a transformation occured within that cocoon of sorts.

The liquid essence began the process of merging with the islands remaining mass after stabilizing it.

Multiple hour's passed as this seemingly simple but Incredibly fragile operation occured, but there seemed to be no end to it yet.

More hours passed, and Noah's soul island saw the bright yellow light enveloping its surface, die down. Revealing the deep yellow landamasses that filled the spots of its formerly empty land-areas.

The only thing that remained relatively unchanged was his black core, which the essence had only empowered to allow it heal itself.

The process eventually ended, but not an ounce of essence utilized remained unused.

A whole day had passed at this point, but it wasn't until another day went by; did Noah regain his consciousness.

A groan escaped Noah's mouth as he rolled on the marble-like surface of his cultivation room.

He had experienced a sharp headache immediately he lifted his eyelids, but that sensation had vanished as fast as it appeared.

'What happened,' Noah thought; trying to recollect the events that had occured before he lost consciousness.

A series of images flooded his mind at his will, and he couldn't help but hold his breath in fear. The transformation hadn't been recorded, so he remained unsure of the state of his soul realm.

Pulling his consciousness into his head, Noah felt his ethereal feet land on a solid surface.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

He immediately laid eyes on the shocking scene of yellow of a series of yellow portions of his completely stable island.

Noah's consciousness soon floated upwards to gain, an overhead view of his island, and the results left him even more astonished.

His island had undergone a drastic change both cosmetically and qualitatively. And he could also sense speed essence all around him!

At seemingly random positions of that island, mostly its edge's; were yellow pieces of solid ground, which he could sense was made of the speed forces's energy.

Realizing that he had lost complete control over the essence that made those strange lands, Noah wondered how something like that was even possible.

Surprisingly, there were small ponds of rank 2 speed essence, and just staring at them caused a weird feeling to well Inside him.

They had become apart of his island, but he didn't find any use for them. Their presence seemingly just for the beautification of that special environment.

The same couldn't be said for the solid portion of the speed essence though.

He understood that his mind had gotten far sturdier than before, even if his island had shrunk to about half its former size.

He could already understand that increasing the strength of his mind would become a chore since the quality of that vessel had increased, translating to an increase in requirements.

"This is both a patch, and a complete change," Noah muttered still Inspecting the yellow landmasses.

Cultivating his mind would give birth to the normal land, which meant the yellow shades would either get overwhelmed, or they would eventually become end up only in the middle of his island.

Exiting his soul realm after over an hour of exploration, Noah sat down to refill his core.

It felt scary to see that his mind had needed that much energy to reach a stable state.

'If i'd done this two weeks ago, i would be dead,' Noah affirmed. A shiver inevitably running through his sturdy spine.

'Maybe the new purity rank was a reason this could we happen. As far as I know the rank 1 essence could only empower my mind nothing else,' he thought while his chest rose and fell rythmically.

'There might be a change to my body too,' he thought. A tinge of excitement welling up in his heart.

'But i should gain more knowledge about the vessels of power before undergoing any such operations. I'm alive only because of the energy i use,' Noah concluded.

Although a slight weakness still filled his mind, it remained almost un-noticeable.

The backlash of the berserk skill had made him feel more weak, even though he did his best to look okay in front of his then audience.

Noah refilled his core and tried to cultivate his mind, but nothing happened. It wouldn't expand even after three hours. And he eventually gave up.

His soul stats had experienced a 10% drop instead of 30, which meant the speed essence had done a great job in its addition of solid grounds.

Noah stayed Inside his cultivation room reviewing Aiden's memories after the unproductive training session.

He learnt a lot he didn't know about the humans of that world, but even that didn't feel enough.

"I'll gain more knowledge when I become a member of the great guild," Noah muttered standing up.

The time left for the meeting at the Divine Lightning guild branch, only remained a day, his seclusion had come to an end.

After a meal which was the last edible supplies he had, Noah immediately decided on spending the remaining day buying food.

A white light soon covered his now clothed body and he disappeared from that white room.

Unknown to Noah, deep within his soul core an even more significant process of transformation had begun. A power that he'd be unable to utilize until the time was right.
