Snowball whined in her arms, causing her to realize she'd started squeezing him a little too tightly again. "Oh, Snowball...my baby. Sorry, baby..." She whispered.
"Ah, what a shame..." Phoenix sighed, pressing his fingers to his forehead. "I cannot tease my wife without endangering out little crown prince..."
"You. Are endangering yourself. If you keep it up...!"
His eyes sparkled dangerously, his forlorn look instantly transforming into that of a snake eyeing its caught dinner. "Oh? From what~?"
A hiss escaped her.
Snowball meeped, as if it were addressed to him.
She mentally swore to never make an angry hissing sound within Snowball's hearing range again. Ever.
Phoenix tutted.
"Don't use such dangerous sounds around your little boy, dear. It might scare him."
