Li Chengyun was ordering dishes, while Yu Jingrong held her glass and sipped water. Suddenly, she noticed two people walking down the aisle ahead, and they sat down at a booth by the window on the other side of the restaurant.
One of them was Ning Lue, with whom she had had an unpleasant encounter before. Beside him was a young woman, likely about the same age as him, vibrant and beautiful, with a similarly confident and proud demeanor.
Li Chengyun detected Yu Jingrong's gaze pause for a moment. Following her line of sight briefly, his peripheral vision swept over those two before returning.
After placing the order, he closed the menu and handed it to the servant. Once the servant left, he looked at Yu Jingrong and asked, "Someone you know?"
Yu Jingrong put down her glass and responded with a displeased "Tch": "What do you mean someone I know? It's more like someone I despise."
