Amelia Clarke's heart tightened, she turned to leave, "I'll go check."
Owen Moreland hugged her, "Don't worry, Grandma will be alright."
Amelia's mind was in chaos, suddenly realizing that her relatives were all getting old and, unpleasant to say, she didn't know how long they could still live.
Was she going to lose them one by one, just after getting to know them?
The color drained from Amelia's face, her already pale complexion under the light nearly becoming translucent.
"Amelia." Owen Moreland seemed to see through her heart, gently embracing her into his arms, softly stroking her back, saying, "Don't be afraid of anything while I'm here."
Amelia could hardly control the sourness in her nose.
"I've just recognized them and don't want them to leave..."
