Ivana Bennett glanced helplessly at her mom, "Thank God I didn't inherit your intelligence!"
Summer Gardner immediately rolled her eyes, "Are you saying your mom's dumb?"
"That's not what I meant." Ivana quickly tried to smooth things over, "I just mean, sometimes you're quite adorable..."
"Of course, I still have the heart of a child."
"I meant... adorably clueless!"
Summer raised an eyebrow and threw the dimsum she was holding at her.
"Ivana is returning to Bitterford tomorrow morning. At noon, you will obediently wear a suit and tie and go meet a potential partner with me." Summer glared across the table at her son, "Ivana Bennett, I'm warning you for the last time, if you dare mess things up again, I'll get you engaged right away!"
Ivana handed out the dimsum to the two kiddos, and lazily replied, "Yes, ma'am!"
