The receiver slipped powerlessly from Jier's hand.
"Ivana Bennett... it must be you, it must be you who did this, damn it, I'll kill you!"
Jier cursed angrily, pulling open the phone booth door, and strode out.
At some point, rain had begun to fall from the sky, cold drops hitting her, making her shiver instantly. She wanted to retreat back into the booth, but a young man had already gone in first.
Cold and hungry, Jier could only hug her arms and run along Martin Road, hoping to find shelter from the rain.
Passing by several restaurants, she was loudly chased away. Noticing an underground passage ahead, she hurriedly ran inside.
In the underground passage, several hooligans were drinking beer. Hearing footsteps, they all turned their faces.
This was an abandoned underground passage, now used by these hooligans as their home, with various curtains and living goods scattered on the ground.
