She needed to rest!
Flossie Wright squatted down, approaching Devina Millet, who was lying on the ground.
"What do you say?"
Her low voice, accompanied by the pitter-patter of rain, gently floated into Devina Millet's ears.
Devina Millet felt a shiver run through her body, and in a moment of decisiveness, she flipped over and sat up straight from the ground.
And, upon urgently opening her eyes, Devina Millet saw Flossie Wright on one side, stiffening slightly and feeling a chill run down her spine.
Damn!
She had never seen anyone so frightening before!
"I'll get to work right away, OK?"
Devina Millet raised her hands, almost pleadingly addressing Flossie Wright.
She was truly scared of Flossie Wright!
Now feeling thoroughly exhausted, she could only admire Flossie Wright, with no intention of quibbling with her.
"There is a cave up ahead," Flossie Wright slowly stood up, her voice crisp and clear, "Go take a look."
