Chapter 4 - Investor

Isaac glanced at the list of potential investors on his computer screen. Two names stood out: Stark Industries and Rand Enterprise. Rand is more suitable as it's focused on various fields, including medical research; however, its connection to the hand is a huge con.

He especially needs to stay under their radar, as he knows that they are dealing with drugs. His proposal for acquiring the financial support is a basic version of the energy restoration elixir, which will revolutionize the medical industry and cease the reliance on intravenous infusions (IV).

"I don't need that kind of attention right now. Maybe I should try my luck with Stark Industries, although Tony is still frivolous right now; however, he is known for investing in cutting-edge technology and scientific research. Stark Industries has vast resources and a history of funding advanced scientific endeavors," murmured Isaac while picking up his phone.

dialed a number he had found through some contacts in the scientific community. After a few rings, a crisp, professional voice answered.

"Stark Industries, how may I direct your call?"

Isaac took a deep breath. "Hi, this is Dr. Isaac White. I'm a geneticist working on some advanced biotechnological research, and I believe Tony Stark might be interested in what I'm developing. Could I schedule a meeting or send over some details?"

There was a brief pause before the receptionist responded. "Please hold while I transfer you to Mr. Stark's assistant."

A few moments later, a new voice came on the line. "This is Pepper Potts, Mr. Stark's assistant. How can I help you?"

Isaac explained his research and the potential it held. Pepper listened attentively, asking a few pertinent questions before finally responding.

"Dr. White, your research sounds fascinating. Mr. Stark is always interested in innovative scientific advancements. Could you send over a detailed proposal and some preliminary data? I'll make sure it gets to him as soon as possible."

Isaac felt a surge of hope. "Of course, Ms. Potts. I'll send everything right away. Thank you for your time."

As he hung up, Isaac quickly gathered his most compelling data within the range he was willing to expose and drafted a comprehensive proposal. Within the hour, he sent it off to Pepper Potts, hoping that this would be the breakthrough he needed to secure funding for his research.

Isaac knew that waiting for a response from Stark Industries could take some time. He decided to use this waiting period to further explore and acclimate to his new abilities, refine his elixir, and prepare for any potential meetings.

He returned home after having a meal outside and began to enter a state of meditation, focusing on his illusory introspection. Over the holidays, he had already become accustomed to his new senses, though they are still slightly burdensome.

'The genetic base point that I activated previously is already stable' thought Isaac while scrutinizing the luminous points on the illusory figure's head. He was going to try and simulate another point today, but he noticed something interesting.

'Of the 15 genetic base points I activated, six of them are pulsating rhythmically as if they are exchanging energy' He took a closer look at them and confirmed that they were, in fact, slightly linked. After giving them more scrutiny, he saw that a nearby gray point was faintly flickering at the edge of the sixth point.

"In that case, I will focus on this genetic base point today," decided Isaac with some conviction. He began by taking an energy restoration elixir and directing the energy to the decided-upon genetic base point. This base point began to flicker unstably for a moment, and Isaac, feeling a slight headache, didn't continue to push through.

Deciding on a different course of action, he directed some of the energy of the synchronized six genetic base points, and as he deduced, the activation of this genetic base point became much easier, and a while later it was activated.

Isaac did not experience any headaches this time; instead, the little load brought by his expanded senses was relieved, and after some experimenting with his senses, he realized that the range had expanded to 5 meters around him.

'Maybe this is the right way of expanding by genetic base points' thought Isaac tiredly before going to sleep. Although he didn't suffer this time around, his mental fatigue was still staggering.

In the morning, Isaac woke up invigorated and went to the lab to continue working on the development of the energy restoration elixir. He realized that this elixir would be very crucial on his path to the discovery of the human body.

Just as Isaac was about to delve into another experiment, his phone rang. Recognizing the number from Stark Industries, he quickly answered.

"Hello, this is Isaac."

"Dr. White, this is Pepper Potts. Mr. Stark has reviewed your proposal and is very interested. He would like to meet with you in person to discuss it further. Are you available to come to Stark Industries tomorrow at 10 a.m.?"

Isaac's heart raced with excitement. "Yes, absolutely. I'll be there."

After the call, Isaac was a little amazed. He didn't think he would get a reply this quickly, and he didn't have much hope in the first place as Stark Ind. wasn't entirely focused on the medical field.

Deciding to redo his proposal, he worked on it all day and stayed in the lab till the evening. Back home, he didn't try to activate any new points today as he was still stabilizing from yesterday's endeavor, so he went to sleep early.

The next day, Isaac arrived at Stark Industries headquarters in Los Angeles a little early. Pepper Potts was notified of his arrival and led him to a sleek conference room.

After waiting for some time, Tony Stark entered the room, exuding charisma and curiosity. He was in his mid-30s, with dark hair, a well-groomed goatee, and a penchant for expensive suits and stylish attire. His confidence bordered on arrogance, often overshadowing his genuine brilliance.

He glanced at Isaac, raising an eyebrow. "Dr. White, is it? You look like you should be studying for high school exams, not pitching groundbreaking research. How old are you, anyway? fifteen?"

Isaac maintained his composure, knowing that Tony has an arrogant character, especially before the events in Afghanistan. He replied calmly, "I'm sixteen, actually. And yes, I am a geneticist. I've been working on this research for some time now."

"Sixteen and already calling yourself a doctor. Impressive. Well, let's see if your work lives up to the hype. Walk me through your proposal."

Isaac launched into his presentation, explaining the science behind his energy restoration elixir and its potential applications in the medical field. He was meticulous and thorough, addressing every detail with precision. Despite Tony's condescending tone, Isaac held his ground, determined to showcase the validity of his research.

Tony listened, occasionally interjecting with insightful but often sarcastic comments. "Interesting. So you're saying this little elixir of yours can replace IVs? That's quite the claim for someone who just wants to get their driver's license."

Isaac responded confidently, "Yes, Mr. Stark. The elixir is designed to provide essential nutrients and energy more efficiently than traditional methods. The preliminary data supports its efficacy, and with further development, it could revolutionize patient care."

Tony leaned back with a thoughtful look on his face. "You know, kid, I've seen a lot of so-called geniuses come through here. Most of them couldn't handle the pressure. But you've got something—maybe it's the confidence, or maybe it's just teenage bravado. Either way, I'm intrigued."

After what felt like hours but was actually a concise and engaging presentation, Tony leaned forward, finally dropping the condescending tone. "Alright, Dr. White. You've got my attention. Let's discuss the terms of an investment. But be aware that Stark Industries doesn't play small. We expect results and fast progress."

Isaac exited the headquarters a little disbelieving that he had succeeded in convincing Tony with his proposal, and he will be able to secure more funding for further research, exploring new possibilities, and pushing the boundaries of genetic science.
