Ethan Herd mulled it over in his mind for a while and finally decided to take Arthur to a hot pot restaurant.
He originally thought that foreigners didn't really like spicy food, so he was aiming to kill him with spice.
He ordered a two-flavor hot pot, thinking that Arthur, a pure foreigner, probably wouldn't understand it. He planned to just keep offering him the spicy side, while he and Scarlett Glenn would eat from the mild soup side.
Unexpectedly, when the pot arrived, Arthur got excited: "Oh... Hot pot, dear, your husband is really thoughtful. How did he know I love hot pot so much? Did you tell him? I now think he's a really nice guy."
