Ella Lacey placed the little one in the passenger seat of the car, and the little one immediately buckled up obediently, making a face as if to say, "I'm a good baby."
She walked around the front of the car.
Ella Lacey opened the other side door, sat in the driver's seat, and looked at her well-behaved baby with a smile brimming with affection, "Clarissa, do you really want to visit Grandma?"
"Of course, I do."
Clarissa Lindsey pouted her little lips, swung her little legs, picked up a box of Want Want Milk and slurped it into her mouth, mumbling, "Grandma has been sick for a week now and you still won't let me visit her at the hospital. Don't you consider me her real granddaughter?"
Before Ella could speak, Clarissa continued her complaint, "Stop fooling me with reasons like there being germs in the hospital or other messy excuses. My daddy has a high IQ, and so do I, you know that, silly Ella?"
Ella Lacey was driving, her face not looking so well anymore.
