"Yes, Gladys is my junior," Chris Ainsworth added on the side, smiling as he said, "I need to take a leave of absence, and it just so happens that Gladys has time off too. Hearing that Sister you and Brother Thompson are having a wedding, she said she wanted to come and congratulate you both."
"Oh, okay, welcome," Anna Ainsworth quickly extended a polite welcome and went to the refrigerator to get some fruit and drinks to serve them.
"Sister Anna, you're so pretty. No wonder Chris is so handsome. You siblings both have good genes; your mother must be very beautiful too." Gladys Xenos said with a smile on her face, her words filled with compliments and flattery.
"Thank you!" Anna responded flatly and handed them the drinks.
Yet, Gladys ran to the floor-to-ceiling windows and exclaimed, "It's so beautiful! Chris, are your sister and brother-in-law going to live in a house like this after they're married?"
