"Too late for second thoughts now," Kevin Cliff chuckled as if he knew what she was thinking. He took her hand and led her out to the balcony.
He checked the position, went to the cupboard to get a thin quilt, quickly tied knots in it and threw it down.
"Are you ready to make your escape, my bride?" He asked her with a smile, assuring himself that it was safe enough.
"If I said I wasn't ready, would you abduct me anyway?" Charlotte Green eyed the end of the quilt he was holding. Was that really safe?
"I would!" Kevin replied firmly, as it wouldn't do for him to spend his honeymoon with only his right hand for company.
Charlotte chuckled and walked towards him. Then she glanced over the railing; though they were on the second floor, the jump down to the first floor was quite high.
In front of their house was an open lawn and a maple tree, while the back led up to the roadside. The scenery here was abundant, eliminating the need for an additional garden in the back.
