"Why don't we wait a bit longer? Ethan hasn't arrived yet!" Charlotte blurted out, trying to hold them back.
Abigail Summer shook her head with a smile, "Sorry, there's an urgent matter. Xavier."
Although Xavier was reluctant to part, he didn't show it too much, waving his little hand, "Goodbye, Uncle, Aunt."
Then, he turned his head toward the direction where Ethan had left and silently bowed his head.
Abigail Summer, with her arm around her son's shoulders, nodded slightly to everyone, took her son, and turned to leave.
She didn't say goodbye because there would be no more goodbyes.
Xavier kept looking at the road where Ethan might appear, keeping his gaze fixed until he got into the car to leave, yet Ethan never showed up.
By the time Ethan, carrying the Red Envelope he'd saved especially for Xavier from the New Year, arrived, he just saw Xavier's car leaving, so he asked Mason Cooper to drive the sightseeing car to go after them.
