Rama drove the worn-out utility van through the slowly waking streets of Twilight City. The vehicle rattled with every bump, its engine humming loudly but it carried him forward through road.
The city library stood tucked between a pair of larger administrative buildings, its stone buildings weathered but dignified. The kind of place most Hunters ignored. But Rama knew better.
Inside, the scent of old paper and dust wrapped around him and feels familiar. The lighting was soft and the silence is calming.
He found Robert easily.
The old librarian was on a ladder, sliding a thick book into place on a high shelf. His graying hair was tied back, his sleeves rolled up as always, and a pair of thin spectacles clung precariously to his nose.
Robert looked down and his eyes catching Rama immediatel. A flicker of recognition and warm smile passed between them.
With a slight smile, Robert climbed down with practiced ease.
