After retracing their steps through the winding tunnels and echoing chambers, the three finally emerged back into the sewers. As soon as their feet stepped beyond the invisible boundary of the sacred catacomb, the heavy stone door behind them rumbled shut. A soft hum of magic followed—and then, the surface transformed.
Where the entrance once stood was now nothing more than an old, cracked concrete wall, streaked with mildew and moss like it had been untouched for decades.
Rama, Shoji, and Axel stared at it in silence.
"That's some serious concealment magic," Shoji muttered.
"No kidding," Axel replied, giving a low whistle. "You'd never guess anything was behind that."
Rama nodded. "A place like that… it makes sense they'd go this far to hide it."
"Still gives me chills," Axel said, rubbing the back of his neck.
With nothing left to do there, they pushed onward, trudging once more through the sewer tunnels.
