Cherry's cheek had a ferocious wound, created by a bite from a sharp tooth that then tore the flesh as it scraped.
The bleeding had already stopped, but the wound was still vividly red and bursting open. Nathaniel stitched it up with surgical sutures, pulling at the muscles near the mouth so that Cherry's voice was muffled when she spoke.
After the stitching came the application of medicine, followed by bandaging, nearly submerging half of her face in gauze.
Nathaniel was by no means a professional, and even though he had learned some emergency trauma treatment techniques during their life on the run, his stitching was far from delicate. Such a wound would certainly require multiple cosmetic surgeries to repair once it had healed.
After managing the wound on her face, Nathaniel moved on to treat the injury on Cherry's leg, and other scrapes on her body that needed medicating.
