After Lucas Taylor's testimony and evidence were submitted, Emma River's lawyer began the defense.
"Your Honor, our side believes that the witness Lucas Taylor was of a young age at that time, lacking the ability to discern right from wrong and the capacity for accurate memory recall. Although the witness was already in his third year of elementary school, he was younger than the average third grader, so his testimony is not sufficient to prove that the defendant intentionally murdered Vivi Sydney."
Keira Leaf's attorney, however, rebutted: "We object. Although the witness is young, he has always excelled academically and possesses strong capabilities, therefore he already has a certain ability to distinguish right from wrong and provide reliable testimony, so his testimony should be valid."
