Emma River's face darkened a few shades as she glanced at the man she had devoted her life to.
"Get out? This is my house, why should I be the one to get out!" Emma River also stood up from the sofa, facing off against him.
Michael Leaf was infuriated but before he could speak, Emma River continued, "Michael Leaf, ask yourself, how have I treated you over the years? And how have you treated me in return!"
"Since the day I married you, you've never forgotten that woman who's passed away, your heart and eyes are full of nothing but her! When she was here, you would rush home early after doing illegal drugs at work, she would be drawing on the side, and you would bring her tea and water, asking after her with care. For her birthday, for Valentine's Day, you'd start preparing a gift and surprise a month in advance! But after all these years I've spent bearing and raising your children, what have you ever done for me!"
Michael Leaf was left speechless by her rebuke.
