"Hannah Coldwell... who is she?"
Over the phone, Richard Coldwell's voice, cold as ice, drifted through.
"She claims she's your sister, Marshal Coldwell's daughter." Lily wasn't sure if the indifference Richard showed was real or feigned.
After all, Marshal Coldwell had already sent someone to rescue her.
The air over the phone turned quiet for a few seconds, then Richard's voice, icy as frost, rang out again.
"Oh, her."
Richard remembered—Lily Redington had specifically called him before to ask about his woman.
"Last time I told you, you can deal with anyone posing as a Coldwell. As for our Coldwell family, we absolutely do not acknowledge them. So, you hesitated and didn't act?"
"I…" Lily paused, choked up by Richard's question.
In the end, it seemed as if she was being accused by Richard.
"I was trying to extract information from her at the time, so I didn't act."
In fact, besides this reason, there were two other reasons why she hadn't dealt harshly with Hannah Ford.
