Ward pondered, "Could this matter also involve ninjas?"
Coulson said, "It's not just ninjas; other forces are involved as well."
"Ward, find a vantage point upstairs. Do not fire unless I give the order."
Ward looked at Coulson and asked, "What if the Sound Ninjas try to take Michael?"
Coulson's expression darkened as he replied, "I'll negotiate with them."
Ward glanced at Coulson before turning to head upstairs.
Just then, May, who had just arrived outside, overheard Coulson's words. The appearance of ninjas cast a shadow over the team's confidence in this mission.
Skye, who had made her way to the second floor, witnessed the earlier confrontation.
From the waiting area, she also spotted Dosu and Zaku, both wearing Sound Ninja headbands. At that moment, Skye realized they weren't just cosplayers; these ninjas were here for Michael too.
Skye decided against leaving via the second floor. She wanted to see how the situation would unfold.
Michael Peterson, facing the bandaged, overly long-haired ninja, cautiously asked, "Who are you?"
The gruesome scene earlier had shaken him, even though the victim had been his attacker.
"Sound Ninja, Dosu Kinuta," the ninja responded. "Our leader is interested in you. Come with me."
Dosu didn't immediately resort to violence; he calmly stated his purpose.
Michael, unsure whether this interest was good or bad, remembered Skye's warning about people wanting to experiment on him. He asked, "What do you want me to do?"
Dosu glanced at Michael and replied nonchalantly, "My mission is just to bring you in. You'll find out what you'll need to do once you're there."
Hearing that even the ninja didn't know the exact details of what awaited him, Michael took a cautious step back and said, "My son was taken by them. I need my son. I'm not going anywhere without him."
Dosu shook his head, exasperated.
"You're really trying my patience... Sonic Blitz!"
In a blur of motion, Dosu appeared right in front of Michael, moving so fast that afterimages seemed to linger behind him. He grabbed Michael by the chest and lifted him off the ground, simultaneously unleashing a sonic attack.
"Boom!"
As Dosu released him, Michael fell to the ground, his brain reeling from the sonic waves. His body felt numb and unresponsive.
Just as Dosu was about to pick him up and leave, Coulson rushed over and shouted, "Mr. Dosu! I'm Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"I've worked with the Four Sound Ninja and other ninja villages before. You should recognize me."
Dosu turned his single visible eye toward Coulson.
Coulson continued, "The target's body contains toxins. He could explode at any moment. The blast would destroy the entire station. Can you let us handle him?"
Just then, Ward's voice crackled through Coulson's earpiece: "Coulson, I've spotted two more Sound Ninjas on the second floor. What's our move?"
Ward was positioned behind the door at the entrance to the second floor, holding his sniper rifle.
Through the door, he observed the two Sound Ninjas watching the events unfold. Ward knew full well that while taking them down wasn't impossible, it would require heavy firepower and a well-prepared strategy—not something they had at the moment.
Dosu's cold voice interrupted, "I'm surprised you're still alive. Interesting."
"This is our mission. If you try to stop us, I'll have to kill you," Dosu warned.
"And this time, I doubt S.H.I.E.L.D. can save you."
As he spoke, Dosu raised his arm, ready to attack.
Seeing this, Coulson slowly placed his weapon on the ground, signaling he had no intention to fight.
"No, you misunderstand me. It's just that Michael could explode at any moment."
While the two were talking, neither noticed Michael crawling on the ground, the orange light on his face flashing as he recovered from the earlier attack.
Suddenly, Michael sprang up and threw a punch at Dosu, shouting, "Liar! You're all in this together! Give me back my son!"
But before Michael's attack could land, Dosu caught his arm with his left hand, effortlessly lifting him and smashing him into a nearby pillar.
"Boom!"
The impact left a crater in the hall's pillar, and Michael fell onto the service counter below.
Coulson, alarmed by the force of the attack, shouted, "Aren't you afraid he'll explode?"
Dosu ignored Coulson and quickly approached Michael again. He raised both arms and slammed them down on Michael, who was lying on the ground.
"Sonic Shockwave!"
With a powerful blast from the sonic device in his right arm, Dosu knocked Michael unconscious.
Seeing that the target was no longer resisting, Dosu grabbed him and said, "Target secured."
As Dosu finished speaking, two figures descended from above, landing beside him. They were the Sound Ninjas Zaku Abumi and Kin Tsuchi.
Zaku remarked, "Dosu, you took your sweet time dealing with a nobody."
Dosu glanced at Coulson and said, "I ran into someone with a bit of history with us."
Kin Tsuchi, twirling a kunai in her hand, chuckled, "S.H.I.E.L.D., huh? Let's finish the mission first."
Zaku placed a large wooden barrel he was carrying on the ground, opened the lid, and stuffed Michael inside.
Coulson tried once more to warn them, "Michael could explode. Someone like him self-destructed just recently."
Kin Tsuchi laughed, spinning the kunai as she said, "We have our own ways of dealing with that. Don't worry about it."
After closing the lid, Zaku pulled out several sealing tags from his ninja pouch and affixed them around the barrel.
Then he said in a pretentious manner, "Seal!"
