Adam watches Leila as she displays subtle expressions of jealousy as she looks at Cassie, wrapping her hands around Adam's arms, pressing her breast into it slightly, and talking about her life.
Cassie then says something that grabs Adam's attention. Till now, most of her talk involved what she did and what she did with her friends, but then she mentioned something about how her college might lose this season's rugby league.
"Why's that?" Adam asks, curious.
"Well, the star players of our college have been injured. Some asshole drove them over when they were crossing the street. Our rugby team captain has a Tabia fracture, and one of our forwards has a double dislocation in his one hand," Cassie says, sighing.
Those injuries sound extremely familiar to Adam because he is the one who caused them.
