I smiled as I followed Saffron to the convenience store. Coming to a stop, I marveled at its bright and inviting facade. The familiar neon signs and neatly organized displays were a comforting sight, reminiscent of the convenience stores back home.
We stepped inside, greeted by the gentle chime of the door sensor. The aisles were impeccably arranged and stuffed to the brim. Except for the fresh bread aisle which looked ransacked. It must be popular here.
Saffron immediately headed toward the refrigerated section, his eyes scanning for the butter we needed.
Hugging the octopus plushie and holding my husband's wrapped ship, I looked around at the broad selection.
Shelves were lined with neatly packaged bento boxes, each one a vibrant array of colors and flavors. Nearby, a section dedicated to snacks boasted an array of chips and sweets, some familiar and others exotic, enticing me to try something new.
