We made our way to the palace, despite our hunger.
The palace's exterior was a sight to behold. The building was massive, with towering spires that reached towards the heavens and intricate carvings that seemed to come alive in the moon's glow.
"This place is so much more cheary than the castle I lived in," Rose said, marveling at it. "Ore said he wanted to build a palace like it when he becomes king."
"That sounds like an expensive endeavor."
"It will be a hard sale, but it will make the capital look more appealing. Not to mention, the castle in its current state sticks out like sore thumb."
She wasn't wrong about that.
She sighed and looked down. "I hope he can realize his dream someday, of changing our kingdom for the better. He wants to make it so poverty is a thing of the past and that every citizen can thrive in peace and harmony."
I smiled. "That's a noble goal. I'm sure he'll find a way to achieve it."
