Sitting at another corner of the breakfast table alongside Eleen, Kieran half listened to the unfolding conversation. After the initial briefings, the explanations got more and more difficult to follow, so he eventually gave up. Not that he was much interested in the topic in the first place. He just wanted to know what his lord was talking about, but since it evolved into something he was neither interested in nor had the ability to understand, he readily gave up.
"Look at him, isn't he rather energetic today?"
Just then, he heard the whisper of someone who had also given up on following the hard-to-understand topic. Eleen leaned a bit closer, gesturing at Ian with her brows.
Following her line of gaze, Kieran also peeked at his lord. If anyone had heard her call that blank, pale, and lifeless face an 'energetic' expression, they would've laughed at her; but as someone who knew what that person usually looked like, Kieran couldn't help but agree with her.
