Kobi Taylor rushed out of the ward, only to see Reese Bernard's hurriedly departing figure.
He hesitated for a while before going back to the ward, sitting down by Brynn Williams's bedside, and whispering to her, "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you. Bess just got upset and she'll be fine once she calms down."
Brynn shook her head gently, "It's okay. This is what I owe her. Knowing that you care about me is enough."
No matter how Reese treated her, it was all the retribution that she deserved.
As for Kobi Taylor, she just had to follow his script, go along with the plot he wanted, and everything should be fine.
Kobi held Brynn tightly in his arms, "She can't do anything to you, don't worry."
Brynn leaned quietly in his embrace, looking content.
