Chapter 358 - Chapter 355

Tap tap tap…

Outside the dining hall of the cabin, the sound of hurried footsteps could be heard.

"Lord, the carrier pigeons have returned," Chris called from outside the dining hall. "Five pigeons have returned."

"Oh?" Lucas's eyes lit up. Just as he was thinking about the pigeons, good news came through. He stood up and said, "Take me to see them."

"Yes." Chris replied respectfully, turning and leading the way.

"Really?" Catherine's golden eyes also brightened. She quickly followed Lucas outside, and Nicole, Mina, and Dahlia from the dining hall followed suit.

When Lucas and the others reached the deck, they saw five white-headed pigeons standing there, leisurely preening their feathers. The red cloth on their claws was strikingly noticeable.

Flap flap…

Just as Lucas was about to step forward, he saw another white-headed pigeon flying toward them from the sky, with red cloth tied to its claws as well.

"Young master, are these the eight pigeons we released three days ago?" Mina asked softly.

"Yes! All of them are white-headed pigeons. It seems that other bird species are not suitable for long-distance flights," Lucas nodded. Among the thirty pigeons he had brought, there were some other bird species mixed in, but from the current situation, the white-headed pigeon was the best carrier pigeon for long distances.

Lucas stepped forward and inspected the pigeons. He found that all six of them were in excellent condition, very active. It seemed that a good diet could even win over the birds.

"Young master, can we write a letter and have the pigeons take it back to Annie and the others?" Nicole asked softly.

"Yes, let them rest for the night first." Lucas replied.

"Then I'll go get some bird food for them." Nicole smiled gently and turned to head back to the cabin. They had brought along a good amount of specially made bird feed, enough to last the pigeons for half a year.

"Catherine, you can pick three of them to take with you tomorrow," Lucas turned to Catherine and Dahlia and said, "Make sure to take some bird food with you as well, and remember, don't feed them anything else."

"Yes." Catherine and Dahlia both nodded. With the pigeons, they could finally make contact with Sedona City.

"As for these pigeons..." Lucas began explaining the precautions. He was careful not to make any mistakes, or else it would be awkward if the pigeons didn't make it back.

The white-headed pigeons were very fast in flight due to their large size, comparable to some eagles on Earth. They flew in a straight line, and from the moment they were released, they could reach Sedona City in just a few hours.

It was similar to flying on Earth—while traveling by car might take days and nights, a flight by airplane would only take a few hours. Lucas couldn't help but complain that the ships in this world were incredibly slow, and the waterways were winding and curvy.

As night fell, after dinner, Nicole was helping Catherine pack her things, and Dahlia was also lending a hand. Since the journey began, Catherine had been staying on Lucas's ship, with Dahlia occasionally staying the night as well. She only spent a few nights on her own ship during the trip.

"This is fried fish jerky. We caught a lot of fish these past few days, so I turned them all into jerky. You can take some back with you to eat," Nicole said, holding several large bags of fried fish jerky. "I also brought over a portion for Mina. If you ration it, it should last about two months."

"Is that really okay?" Catherine scratched her cheek, feeling a bit embarrassed. "But doesn't that mean Mina won't have any fried fish jerky left? She really likes it, after all."

Everyone on the ship knew that Mina loved fried fish jerky. The cat-eared girl was often seen munching on a piece whenever she had the chance. Fried fish jerky had become one of her must-have items to carry around.

"It's fine, she asked me to bring it over," Nicole said as she packed the fried fish jerky into wooden boxes. "Besides, if we want more, we can always catch some fish and make more jerky."

"Unfortunately, I can't learn how to make it," Catherine said, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "I've tried cooking fish before, but it always turns out awful. The fishy smell is just too strong."

"..." Dahlia turned her head awkwardly. She was smart, but even she couldn't cook fish properly. Either she added too much salt or forgot to add any at all…

"Don't worry, if you want to eat it, just come to Sedona City anytime. I'll cook it for you." Nicole said softly.

She looked at the two large wooden boxes of fried fish jerky. The amount, based on how Catherine and Dahlia ate, would last them three or four months. But if it were Mina eating, it would only last about a month.

"That's great." Catherine said as she hugged Nicole and rubbed her cheek against hers.

"Hehe... that tickles!" Nicole laughed, quickly reaching for Catherine's stomach, and before long, the two of them were rolling around playfully.

"That's nice." Dahlia said, setting down the clothes she was holding, watching the two of them tumble on the bed. Catherine really did have a way of getting along with other girls so easily.

"By the way, have you been to Pentos City?" Nicole asked, pulling her head out of Catherine's embrace and adjusting her hair. "Is there anything we should be careful about when we get there?"

"I haven't been." Catherine shook her head.

"Neither have I." Dahlia replied softly.

In reality, both of them rarely traveled far, and Catherine, in particular, had been to even fewer places, usually just visiting cities near the royal capital.

"Tomorrow we'll arrive in Pentos City, I wonder how it compares to Sedona City." Nicole said, lying down like a big character.

She had heard from the young master that Pentos City was a large city with a population of 40,000 to 50,000, which was larger than Sedona City, sparking her curiosity.

Or perhaps it was more about her expectations of the outside world. She had been born and raised in Sedona City, never leaving the territory for over two decades, and had been well protected by her parents. Naturally, she was very curious about the outside world.

"Uh..." Dahlia was at a loss for words. She exchanged a glance with Catherine and saw a trace of helplessness in her eyes.

"I haven't been to Pentos City either," Catherine gently advised. "So don't have too high of expectations. If it turns out to be different from what you imagined, you might end up disappointed."

The cities near the royal capital weren't new to her, but what about Pentos City? Catherine could probably guess what it would be like. It was probably the same as other cities—dirty, chaotic, and full of slave markets along the streets.

"Probably not," Nicole hesitated. "After all, it's a big city with a population of 40,000 to 50,000." She had read in some novels that other cities had rich customs and traditions.

"Maybe." Dahlia replied, her eyes flickering before she also lay down.

She had a feeling that Nicole might not want to leave Sedona City after all.

The ship swayed rhythmically beneath the star-strewn sky, its timbers groaning softly as night deepened. In the faint flicker of a single lantern, Lucas and Mina stood in their cramped cabin, the air heavy with salt and the quiet intimacy of their closeness. Mina's eyes glimmered with a submissive glow, her cat ears—tufted and pointed—twitching faintly atop her head. Her long, tawny tail curled nervously behind her, the only beastkin traits marking her otherwise human form.

She stepped closer, her breath shallow, her hands trembling as they hovered near Lucas's shirt. "Young Master," She whispered, her voice a soft, reverent purr, laced with exhaustion. Her full lips parted slightly, and she dipped her head, a gesture of deference that made his chest tighten with want.

Lucas closed the gap, his hands settling on her hips, pulling her against him. "Mina," He said, his voice low and rough, "You don't need to be so formal." Her skin was smooth under his palms, warm and human, save for the silky brush of her tail as it grazed his leg. She whimpered softly, leaning into him, her cat ears flattening slightly in submission.

"Young Master, I… I want to please you," She murmured, her words faltering as her energy waned. Her fingers fumbled with his shirt, weak and unsteady. Her eyes widened, drinking in the sight of his bare chest, and she bit her lip, her tail curling around her own ankle as if to anchor herself.

He smirked, guiding her shaky hands to his shoulders. "You already do, Mina." His fingers slipped beneath her tunic, tracing the curve of her waist, smooth and unmarred by fur. She shivered, her breath hitching, and he lifted the garment off, revealing her fully. Her breasts were soft and rounded, nipples tightening in the cool air, her skin flushed with a faint sheen of sweat. The lantern light danced across her, highlighting the delicate sway of her tail and the subtle perk of her ears.

Mina pressed closer, her hands resting lightly on his chest, her touch tentative. "Young Master." She breathed, her voice trembling with devotion. He groaned, pushing her gently toward the bunk, and she stumbled, her legs giving way under her fading strength. He caught her, easing her down onto the bed, her tail splaying out beside her as she gazed up at him with wide, trusting eyes.

He leaned over her, capturing her mouth in a slow, possessive kiss. Her lips parted eagerly, soft and pliant, and her tongue met his with a hesitant flicker, smooth and human yet tinged with her wild essence. She moaned into his mouth, a quiet, submissive sound, and he deepened the kiss, his hands roaming her body—down her sides, over the swell of her hips, brushing the base of her tail where it met her skin. She arched weakly, her ears twitching.

"Young Master." She gasped as he pulled back, his lips trailing along her jaw, then down her neck. He sucked at her pulse, feeling it flutter beneath his tongue, and she whimpered, her hands clutching at his shoulders with faltering strength. He moved lower, kissing across her collarbone, then taking a nipple into his mouth. She keened softly, her back bowing as he sucked and teased, her tail thumping once against the bunk before going still.

"Young Master, please." She pleaded, her voice breaking, her breaths coming in shallow pants. He slid a hand between her thighs, finding her slick and ready, her pussy hot against his fingers. She was smooth there, human in every way, and he pressed a finger inside, slow and careful. Her walls clenched around him, tight and trembling, and she moaned, her head tipping back, her ears flattening fully against her hair.

"You're perfect, Mina." He murmured, watching her face as she struggled to keep up. Her tail twitched feebly, and her hands fell to the mattress, gripping the sheets as he worked her gently, curling his finger just so. "Young Master, I—I can't…" She whispered, her voice a fragile thread, her body quivering with the effort to please him.

He kissed her forehead, withdrawing his hand to shed his trousers, his cock springing free, hard and eager. "Let me take you, then," He said, settling between her thighs. She nodded, her legs parting weakly, and he entered her in one smooth thrust, filling her completely. She gasped, a soft, broken cry escaping her as her body shuddered beneath him, her tail curling limply around his calf.

Lucas moved with care, his thrusts deep but slow, mindful of her. Her skin glistened with sweat, her breasts bouncing faintly with each motion, and she clung to him, her fingers digging into his arms with what little strength she had left. "Young Master," She whimpered, her voice a litany of surrender, her eyes locked on him even as they grew hazy.

The bunk creaked under them, the ship's gentle rocking syncing with their rhythm. Her breaths grew ragged, her moans softening into faint pleas as he drove into her, chasing the edge. She came quietly, a trembling release that left her limp, her walls fluttering around him as she whispered his title one last time. The sensation pushed him over—he groaned, spilling inside her, his hips stuttering as he rode out his climax.

They collapsed together, her body soft and spent beneath his, her breathing shallow as she nuzzled weakly into his chest. "Young Master," She murmured, barely audible, her tail draping over his leg in a final, submissive gesture. He held her close, stroking her hair between her cat ears, the ship carrying them through the night as she drifted into exhausted sleep.
