Chapter 325 - Chapter 322

The next morning.

"Ahh~"

Elisa slowly opened her eyes, letting out a yawn. The first thing she saw was Dahlia's face right in front of her. Blinking her green eyes twice, she finally remembered—Catherine and Dahlia had stayed over at her place last night.

They had talked way too late… or rather, they had been goofing around more than talking. By the end, the conversation had completely derailed, even reaching the topic of having children—with none other than Lucas as the hypothetical father.

They had talked about everything and anything, and when words failed, they resorted to tickling each other or shamelessly playing dirty. The night had been filled with laughter, teasing, and a playful charm that no outsider had the privilege of witnessing.

"Hmm~"

Dahlia let out a lazy hum as she slowly opened her eyes, only to see Elisa staring at her. She smiled slightly. "Morning, Elisa."

"Morning." Elisa replied softly.

"Are you heading to work?" Dahlia asked sleepily, her eyes half-closed, still lingering in drowsiness.

"Yeah, I need to go to the pizza shop and prepare some ingredients in advance." Elisa nodded as she slowly sat up. The blanket slid down, revealing her delicate collarbone.

"Mm, then we should get up too." Dahlia muttered as she reached out to wake Catherine. The girl's long legs were draped over her, and her arms were wrapped around her like a hug. The only issue? Catherine's hands were resting in a rather questionable position.

Dahlia's eyelid twitched. "...Alright, time to wake this little troublemaker up."

Dahlia rolled her eyes. No matter how many times Catherine stayed over, her sleeping posture never changed—she always had the habit of hugging people in her sleep.

"No need, you two keep sleeping." Elisa quickly waved her hand and said softly, "Just close the door when you leave."

It was around 7 AM now. The pizza shop opened at 8:30, but she needed to be there by 7:30 to start prepping the ingredients.

"Well… alright then," Dahlia sighed. Seeing that Elisa wasn't joking, she decided not to argue. Besides, she didn't want to wake Catherine up—she knew Catherine had been having a rough time lately and hadn't been sleeping well.

"Rest up." Elisa murmured before heading off to wash up. Once she finished getting ready and disguised herself properly, she stepped out the door.

The door shut behind her, and the morning continued.

The sound of the door closing woke Catherine. She slowly opened her eyes and saw the back of Dahlia's head. At the same time, she became aware of a soft, pleasant sensation in her hands—and instinctively gave it a little squeeze.

"Mmnn~"

Dahlia, caught off guard by the sudden touch, let out an involuntary whimper. A faint blush crept onto her cheeks as she slapped the mischievous hand groping her chest.

"Quit it. If you're awake, let go." Dahlia scolded with a pout.

"No way~ So soft, so nice," Catherine teased, a playful glint flashing in her eyes as she shamelessly kneaded harder.

"Ahh—! You little—!" Dahlia yelped, flustered, before reaching behind her to retaliate, her hands landing on Catherine's sensitive spots.

"Let's see how you like it!"

"Mmnn… no… stop…"

"It tickles! Seriously, stop!"

After half an hour of playful wrestling, the two finally collapsed onto the bed, panting and exhausted. Their clothes were wrinkled, their fair skin exposed in places, and even half of Catherine's soft curves were peeking out. Faint handprints lingered on their skin—a testament to their impromptu battle.

"Dahlia, now that we're moving out of the castle, where are we going to live? We're not staying at your place, are we?" Catherine asked, staring at the ceiling.

"Hmm…" Dahlia frowned. She had been thinking about this since yesterday. After a brief pause, she suggested, "How about… we rent a place in this building? That way, we'd be neighbors with Elisa."

"Huh?" Catherine was surprised but quickly nodded in agreement. "Yes! Let's be neighbors with Elisa!"

"Then let's get up now and go talk to Lord Lucas," Dahlia said as she sat up. She gave Catherine's perky ass a firm slap and urged, "Come on, hurry up! I still need to check on the goods today."

"Alright, alright." Catherine groaned lazily as she crawled out of bed.

After a quick wash-up, the two headed out, grabbing some meat buns from a street vendor for breakfast. By the time they arrived at the castle, it was already 8:30 AM.

On the way, they happened to run into Lucas, who had just finished his morning training.

"Lord Lucas, do you always train in the morning?" Catherine asked curiously, eyeing his thick coat. It looked warm and cozy, making her want to snuggle into it.

"Hmm, as a lord, I need at least some combat ability. Otherwise, what if someone challenges me?" Lucas raised an eyebrow with a slight smile.

"Huh?" Catherine was momentarily stunned. She hadn't expected such a straightforward answer—she thought he'd say something about training his body or honing his discipline.

After all, the noble heirs in the royal capital always gave those flowery speeches about training for honor or to fight for their beloved woman. But this? This was the first time she'd heard such blunt reasoning.

"Something wrong with that?" Lucas's eyes glimmered with amusement.

"No, it makes perfect sense." Catherine quickly replied. This was real—not like the pretentious words of those noble brats.

"Have you two eaten yet? Want to grab breakfast together?" Lucas asked calmly.

"We already ate." Dahlia replied.

"Sure!" Catherine said at the same time.

"…."

The two exchanged awkward smiles before shooting each other a glare.

Dahlia blinked her eyes at Catherine, her expression clearly saying, So… were those buns we ate earlier fed to a dog or what?

"Let's go. Breakfast should be ready." Lucas said warmly, stepping ahead without questioning why they hadn't stayed at the castle last night.

Catherine and Dahlia exchanged another glance before sighing in unison and following after him.

Mina cast a puzzled glance at the two girls before quickly catching up with Lucas. She had already received intel last night—Catherine and Dahlia had stayed over at Elisa's place. She just hadn't had the chance to report it to her young master yet.

"Hey, are you trying to stuff yourself to death?" Dahlia tugged Catherine's sleeve and whispered, "You literally ate two meat buns just now."

"It's fine! I… I can still eat a little more," Catherine patted her stomach, forcing herself to look calm. "I can squeeze in a bit more."

"You're insane." Dahlia groaned, covering her face. Is this what love does? Turns smart girls into fools?

Meanwhile, Lucas remained oblivious to their hushed debate. As he stepped into the back courtyard, he was met by Ben.

"Young master, the carrier pigeon training has shown results. Would you like to observe?" Ben immediately stepped forward, eager to report. He had been focused on this project for days.

"Carrier pigeons?" Lucas's black eyes lit up. "They're ready? They can deliver messages now?"

"Yes! They can carry paper notes." Ben confirmed.

"How far can they go?" Lucas asked excitedly.
