The leisurely days were over, and the day of school had arrived.
"I really don't want our baby to leave." In front of King's Cross Station, the Malfoy family of three was waiting for the train. Narcissa held Malfoy's hand and wiped her tears with the other.
"Mother. I think you should be happy. I can make more new friends at school, right? "Malfoy comforted her in turn.
"Remember, don't get close to those mudbloods." Lucius reminded him again.
There's no future in discriminating! Malfoy couldn't help but lament in his heart. But on the surface, he still said obediently, "Of course, Father."
"It's time." Malfoy looked down at his watch.
"Father, Mother, I think I should get on," Malfoy said.
"Go." Lucius's face was pale and expressionless as usual, but from his tight grip on the luggage handle, it was obvious that he was reluctant to leave.
Narcissa's expression was even more obvious as she hugged her son deeply.
"If there's anything, remember to write to us with an owl." Narcissa didn't forget to remind him.
"Got it." With that, Malfoy walked slowly toward a crimson steam locomotive.
The steam locomotive's thick smoke lingered above the chattering crowd, and cats of various colors weaved under people's feet. Amidst the buzzing of the crowd and the noise of heavy luggage being dragged, the owl also screeched shrilly, responding to each other's calls.
The first few carriages were already crowded with students. Some of them leaned out of the windows to talk to their families, while others played around in their seats.
After getting on the train, Malfoy quickly found his seat, then looked at the compartment and shook his head. He muttered to himself, "Privilege is really depraved." Obviously, Lucius used his authority to get Malfoy a single compartment that only the prefect had the right to.
"In all honesty, I just want to have a good night's sleep before going to school." At his request, his two followers didn't follow him. The fat man's snoring wasn't too soft.
"Let's look at the new magazine." Before getting on the train, Malfoy bought another issue of "Sopranos" to kill time. After all, he wasn't sleepy yet.
After reading the magazine, it was soon time for lunch. Malfoy looked at the lunch the train attendant brought over, but he didn't have much of an appetite.
After a simple snack, Malfoy closed his eyes and rested. After all, there might be a lot of activities at night.
However, it seemed that it would be very difficult for him to get what he wanted.
'Did any of you see a toad? Neville has lost a toad. "A little girl entered Malfoy's compartment. He asked as he walked in. There was also a round-faced little boy following behind him. He seemed to be a little timid.
The little girl had thick brown hair and a pair of big teeth. Her voice was very loud and her words sounded a little arrogant.
"What should come will come." Malfoy sighed inwardly as he looked at the girl. To be honest, Malfoy did not want to have too much interaction with the Iron Triangle.
The soul of an adult would naturally not be as childish as Malfoy in the original world, who would make such a crude provocation. Malfoy hoped that everyone would mind their own business and live in peace, but he was destined to be disappointed.
"Oh, why are you alone here?" Hermione, who had entered the compartment, was clearly confused. It was obvious that Malfoy, who was of the same age as her, was not a leader, but he still had his own compartment.
"I don't think this is a question that you need to know. Before asking for help, it's better to give your name first. I think this is one of the most basic manners." Malfoy asked even though he already knew the answer. It was good to use privilege in secret, but it had a bad influence on the surface.
"My name is Hermione Granger. You can call me Hermione." Hermione then pointed at the round-faced little boy and said, "This is Neville Longbottom. He's the one who lost his toad."
"I've heard my parents talk about you, Neville. Your parents are amazing Auror." Lucius and Narcissa obviously did not care about their former enemies, but Malfoy himself was full of respect for them. Not everyone had the consciousness to sacrifice themselves.
"Is that so?" Neville, who had been keeping his head down, suddenly looked up. His eyes shone with a different kind of light. It was the first time he had heard a positive evaluation of him, even if it was only to his parents.
"Alright, Mr. Neville. Now let's think about where your toad went," Malfoy said. "Perhaps we can try the Flying Spell?"
Just as Hermione was about to speak, Malfoy continued, "Oh, no. I don't think Mr. Neville knows the exact location of the toad. Perhaps we can start from the toad's habits."
Hermione had wanted to ask him how a freshman could master a difficult spell, but she did not have the chance.
"Neville, Hermione, we've finally found you. We've searched the entire carriage but couldn't find Neville's toad." A voice suddenly came from outside the compartment, interrupting Malfoy.
Very good. Looks like the Iron Triangle is all here, Malfoy thought. "As expected, there's a will in the unseen world. It seems that the dispute between the four of them is unavoidable."
As soon as he finished speaking, two boys stepped into the small compartment. In an instant, the spacious compartment became crowded. One of them was Ron, whom Malfoy had met once before. The other boy had a lightning-like scar on his head. He was a little thin and wore a pair of glasses. Needless to say, this was the famous Harry Potter.
Seeing that there were other people in the compartment, Harry politely greeted Malfoy, "Hello, are you also helping to find Neville's toad?" However, he clearly did not notice that Ron's expression was not good.
"I believe you are Harry Potter, the savior who defeated the Dark Lord. It's an honor to meet you." Just like the others, Malfoy politely greeted him.
"I saw you in Madam Morkin's shop." Harry seemed to have thought of something and suddenly pointed at Malfoy.
"Then we are really fated. I think we should be able to become friends. My name is Malfoy. "Malfoy smiled and extended his hand to show his friendliness.
Harry was about to extend his hand when he heard Ron whisper in Harry's ear, "His parents were former Death Eaters. Their whole family is Slythrin, the academy where the Dark Lord is from. Almost all the Dark Wizards come from there."
After hearing this, Harry's hand stopped moving in midair, not knowing whether to advance or retreat. Hermione subconsciously took a step back. Compared to the bits and pieces that Harry had heard of Ron and other rumors, Hermione's understanding of the history from books was clearly more detailed and profound. Her impression of Slythrin was even worse than Harry and Ron's. Of course, perhaps Ron had some personal grudges.
"Right, their family also said that pure-bloods are supreme and hate pure-blooded Muggle Wizards the most. To be honest, Hermione, I feel that it is very dangerous for you to stay here. "Ron added.
Hearing this, Hermione took another step back, almost to the corner of the room. Her face was somewhat pale. It was clear that sometimes it was not a good thing to know too much. She had clearly seen many examples of pure-blooded Wizards abusing Muggle Wizards from books.
"Heh." Malfoy saw this and withdrew his hand, coldly saying, "It seems that I am not welcomed by some people. Then please leave, I need to rest."
Harry's face was somewhat awkward. He clearly realized that he had done something wrong, but he was too embarrassed to apologize.
Just as they were about to walk out of the carriage, Malfoy suddenly looked at Hermione and said, "I think that when you look at others with fixed eyes, you might not have thought that one day you would be treated the same way."
Hermione tightly pursed her lips, not saying a word. It was clear that he was talking about her.
"Neville, I think we can become friends. As proof of our friendship, I would like to give you a suggestion. After getting off the train, go see if there are any surprises on the ship." Unlike Ron's provocation and Harry's and Hermione's retreat, Neville still stood his ground. He did not show any other reaction to Malfoy.
Harry and the others left the small compartment. It was clear that for most people, this meeting was not a friendly interlude.
"It seems that some things are destined to happen. Is this what they call fate?" Malfoy sighed as he watched the group leave.
"Bang!" After leaving the compartment, Ron kicked the corner of the wall.
Harry and Hermione's faces were not too good.
