The techniques used by Emily Taylor earlier were beyond his ability to replicate.
Such mastery comes from an extreme understanding of the basic rules, allowing one to immediately discern the composition of such forces and then develop similar techniques.
Another power was the power of thunder and lightning. He now had the Heart of the Thunder Emperor, but he only had a superficial grasp of the first two levels of power, not even able to glimpse the Undersea Power.
