Jisvo grinned, showing all of his teeth. His tightly balled fist released a thumb that pointed at his face, his arm jutting out and bending before doing so.
"Heh."
An awkward silence followed. Seems to echo throughout the forest.
Cacaw!
The only sounds that remained were the rustling of leaves and the cry of a bird seemingly trying to escape the situation.
Does he think this is some… novel? What's with that entrance? Antoine stared blankly at Jisvo's strange posture, lampooning in his head.
I need to focus on getting my Gale Harbinger back. He's pretty strong right now.
"You're far too focused on me. Don't you understand? A full-scale invasion of this island. Give us a week, we'll have gone through the island and your pathetic kingdom-"
"Shut up."
Jisvo pulled at the wooden ring, winding his arm back. He threw it.
Within the thickly wooded forest, rays of moonlight could barely peek through the large leaves and branches, leaving spots illuminated here and there.
Despite the number of tall, thick trees, the wooden ring moved as if it had obtained sentience, avoiding and maneuvering perfectly.
"!"
Antoine quickly jumped over the ring.
Behind him, it crashed through several trees.
Crash!
The trees fell down onto the ground, shaking the terrain for a moment.
Jisvo stuck his hand out, the ring zipping back toward him.
"It comes to me so naturally, despite this being my first time. Wow..." Jisvo whispered to himself, as he stared at the intricate designs of the wood and the drums.
When he looked up, Antoine had begun his run.
He jumped over the fallen trunks, heading toward the shore. Where he had left his axe.
Jisvo sighed loudly.
"Doesn't he know? He won't ever be able to outrun me."
The ring hovered, circling him. He banged on a few drums, a rhythmic sound escaping. So rhythmic, he found himself tapping his feet, dancing.
[Cast: Heavenly Lightning Storm]
The dark storm clouds rolled in, removing any rays of moonlight that illuminated the dark forest.
Antoine found himself trapped in this dark area, devoid of light. He had no sense of direction, besides the faint mana that emanated from his axe, which only he could sense.
That was his compass.
Crackle!
A bolt of lightning soared past him. By luck, it missed.
Horizontal lightning? How the hell... he must be throwing it as well!
Crackle!
This time, it was coming from the sky.
Three tree-sized bolts of lightning struck the ground with intensity. He stumbled backward.
"Get up."
Jisvo kicked Antoine in the back. He threw a large object onto him, after assuring he was on the ground.
"This is what you were looking for, right? Lingering with familiar mana signatures. I ran over and grabbed it for you."
Antoine slowly rolled over, holding his weapon firmly. Jisvo crouched down, smiling.
"Now, come on. Do you still think you'll win?"
Moving quickly, all in the same motion, Antoine got up and swung at Jisvo.
"Close!"
He dodged, stepping just inches backward.
Jisvo spun quickly, gathering momentum. He struck Antoine's chin with the heel of his foot.
"Keuk!-"
Antoine felt his senses daze, and his body started to lean back.
But Jisvo wasn't done.
"Invading my country and bringing harm to my friends... you I'll just be fine with that? No way in hell."
Amidst Antoine's falling motion, two hands shot at his chest, palms stuck together.
[Cast: Thunder God Blazing Drill]
Black and white lightning whipped and lashed around, encompassing his hands.
His hands dug through Antoine's abdomen.
[Cast: Harden]
Antoine yelled, feeling Jisvo's hands stuck inside of him. With his [Harden] skill, it stopped him from completely penetrating.
Blood spilled on the floor, along with crimson entrails. Splashing like puddles, thudding like rope.
Antoine grabbed Jisvo's arm, wriggling.
"Troublesome."
A single word escaped Jisvo's lips.
"!?"
More lightning surged through.
He rotated his wrists, whilst still being inside of Antoine.
Crack!
With the increase of strength, Antoine's upper half separated from his lower half!
His crimson-colored spine stretched out, a cloud of red mist expanding.
The color in his eyes faded.
Antoine's white hair grew grey.
