Gu Jian sent a letter to the Emperor, revealing his plans to have Xiao Moreng and others return to Beijing. This was not kept hidden from Xiao Yeyang and Daohua.
While waiting for a reply from the Emperor, Xiao Yeyang, along with Daozi and Xiao Moreng, took a trip to the horse ranch in Ganzhou, then inspected the twelve military forts, and finally, they visited the Gobi desert to look at the salt lake mining.
